I'm going to have to butt in here for a moment in defense from the negative star ratings here. Im going to be brutally honest. I have lived in white haven for over 20 years. I do not know the names of the owners but I have had much experience with them being as I choose to stay here when I am going on vacation. I always book here a night or 2 nights before I get picked up by bus or taxi as it is 1 minute from the pa turnpike. I like that the state park is just down the road to play disc golf and stores are closer. This place from my experience is constantly being upgraded and that's a good thing. My rooms over the years are always well cleaned. The owners are in fact, very patient and welcoming as family would be. The room service is professional and polite. I sense a strong passion to keep this place tidy, knowing the traffic that comes in and out at this hub is a challenge. Look guys, here's what you're going to get now in 2024. Politeness, respect, cleanliness. Now, for the fun part... ever lived in an apartment or a half-double? Yeah, that's how it works. You get a room, and another family gets a room on the other side of your wall. You're going to hear other people doing the same things you are. Enjoy the price and the scenery? That choice is within your own power. Highly recommended.

Staff are rude and argumentative. They do not know ADA regulations. The room was 1970. You could tell where walls were patched. Charged me $50 deposit but would not tell me why. When I asked another guest if they were charged and THEY told me they were not so the only thing I can assume is was because I have a service dog (witch is illegal to do) I was asked multiple time if my dog was a service dog diffent days. I was asked for papers and proof that my dog was a service dog (illegal to do) I had to check out early but because it was after 11am instead of charging a late check out fee they charged for the full night. The whole building is in disrepair. THIS ECONO LODGE IS THE WORSE ECONO LODGE I HAVE EVER STATED AT!

Had a great stay at the Econo Lodge.The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A great choice for a simple and relaxing stay! I would recommend this location!

I would like to share my experience at this establishment. We booked this hotel after our festival got cancelled (only hotel with any availability). The daily rate per night was $50 the night prior; due to our situation the front desk price gouged us and charged us $300. At that point; we decided to try somewhere else. They wouldn’t allow us to refund our cost; even though they overbooked and people were waiting in the lobby for a room.

The lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and unhelpful. A couple friends we were with were going to stay in our room as well but were told they could not. Even though we had a “suite” with multiple beds; we were unable to have our friends stay in the room unless they paid another inflated $300.

To top off this gem of a visit; the next day we had over $550 charged to our credit card. We are still disputing the charges.

In addition, the exterior of the place was in disarray; dirty and unwelcoming.

Room was located in the rear renovated section of the property, and was as pictured on-line. Overall was OK but really needed a good cleaning. You could also easily hear your neighbors. In the future I would not stay at an Econolodge again.

We stayed at Econo Lodge after we refused to stay at pocono resort. The staff was really nice and helped us out when we explained what had happened. They gave us a room I. The back which was fairly new. I know they are working on the place but I definitely would stay here again and recommend it to anyone who needs a cheap place to stay with nature surroundings.

Very clean, quiet rooms. It was perfect for what we needed, a place to rest. WIFI was great. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Just two miles from ski mountains and fast food restaurants. |we will be back.|Need paint and update outside.

Don’t listen to the bad reviews this place is so nice! I was a little concerned reading the negative reviews at first but when I got here I was blown away by how nice this little room is. Everything is very clean and updated, the heat works, the bathrooms are super nice, the wifi is great, so many outlets, and the bed is cozy. Also the location is great if you’re planning to ski at Jack Frost 🙂
