A couple of friends and I came into New York to see a play in Brooklyn, and stayed at EVEN Hotel. We were all impressed with the overall value of this stay for what we paid. Rooms are on the smaller side, but that's not surprising for NYC. Ours was still very clean with a great view of the city. We all loved the flavored water in the lobby, and all of the staff were so incredibly friendly and accommodating! We felt well taken care of. We came in via plane or AmTrak, so walking to the subway and other places in Brooklyn were convenient. Overall, I would highly suggest this hotel! I loved my stay.

We stayed at the hotel primarily for the location to the Brooklyn Paramount but were pleasantly surprised.
The hotel is contemporary with rooms having the added bonus of workstations and exercise mats. There’s also a gym.
A self service area for snacks and drinks is available as well as served meals.
We had breakfast included which was great.
The staff were friendly and really helpful. The hotel is a couple of minutes walk from the tube station as well.
All in all a great choice for a Brooklyn stay !

This property was a great choice for a 5 day stay over the holidays. The room, the view was great. The location is super convenient to stores, restaurants as well as subway lines to anywhere. It was just the right size, with the right amount of service & amenities. The room and the lobby were comfortable and the size of the hotel overall was perfect. Not too large or impersonal and with all the services and amenities one hopes to see. Quiet for a big city hotel as well!

I was disappointed.
1. The place is not kept up well. The elevators don't work properly (they don't necessarily come when called) and some of the elevator buttons don't light or don't work at all.
2. Not eco friendly at all - everything goes in the trash. There are no recycling bins. The building's energy efficiency rating (posted next to the barely working elevators) is an F.
3. The "Marketplace" a self-serve kiosk where you should be able to get snacks, is a junk-food junkies dream, and no-one else's. According to the menu, there were supposed to be turkey sandwiches and Amy Bowls in the fridge, but the entire 5 days I've been here, those have not made an appearance. Every time I asked (for almost a week) I was told that they were out. The only "healthy" options available were apples, oranges, bananas, full-sugar yogurt, and bottles of water. Other than that, there are sugary cereals, sugar loaded drinks, cookies, cakes, Doritos, and potato chips. On the first day, I went to the kiosk and made the mistake of purchasing a turkey sandwich, only to discover there there weren't any in the pantry. At the front desk, I was told that only a manager could refund my $8 for the sandwich and there wasn't one available. I left my name and room number on the receipt. The refund never materialized.

During my stay, all staff members were welcoming and very friendly. They accommodated a badly needed early check in and helped me navigate the subway. The room was small but didn't feel too small, as it was thoughtfully laid out with everything one needs. Shower pressure was great and the bathroom was a good size. Only complaint is that the towels were thin and scratchy, and in need of replacement. Everything else was great and I'd definitely stay again.

The Even Hotel wasn't just a getaway stay; it was an experience. It felt as if I was on a resort island ~ right in the heart of Downtown, Brooklyn.||The staff and management were extremely cordial, professional, and gracious. They provided me with topnotch accommodations ~ including a complimentary late check-out.||The building's infrastructure has a sleek interior design & ambiance ~ coupled with an exceptional visual esthetic & appeal. It marked for such a pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit.||As to my suite's comfortability and cleanliness, this hotel couldn't have been more appealing! It was quite cozy and the city views were truly spectacular...||Conveniently situated in a prime location, I would highly recommend one patronize this flagship model hotel.

Location of this hotel was perfect. We had access to all subway routes within a few minutes of walking and felt safe at all times of day. Plenty of food and grocery options around as well. Room was really clean, minor touch ups needed but nothing dirty or broken. We were on the 11th floor so it was nice and quiet, couldn’t hear street noise or any other guests either. Guest service was great and I loved the multiple options of water down in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay if you want to relax and unwind in Brooklyn, NY. My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night because I had a doctor's appointment in Brooklyn. The location is great because it was walking distance from Atlantic Avenue and walking distance from great shopping experiences. The staff was very helpful, informative, and attentive. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and the king bed was very spacious and comfortable! Check-in was quick and easy and the hotel staff also accomodated our late check-in!
