I am extremely disappointed with Expedia Group. I booked a hotel through zaptravel.com, which uses Expedia Group, and encountered a terrible situation where I was stolen from at the hotel. The hotel has already requested a refund on my behalf, but Expedia Group refuses to release the funds.

I’ve been caught in the middle, chasing a refund that should have been resolved by now. The lack of accountability and support from Expedia Group has been frustrating, and this whole experience has been a huge headache.

I expected better customer service and responsiveness from such a well-known company. I would caution others to think twice before booking through any service associated with Expedia Group.

Expedia posted a flight that didn't exist on the Airline's website (Sun Country). After I booked the flight on Expedia, I was informed that the Airlines changed the flight to a later time and that's why I was rebooked automatically to the later time. I did NOT want this later flight as I needed to get into town earlier than when the later flight landed. Expedia did not allow me to cancel my flight. When I went back to Expedia's site, it still showed that both flights could be booked!!! Even though the earlier flight did NOT EXIST. I warn everyone to book directly with the airlines so that this doesn't happen to you!

I had to travel to india on a urgent basis last month for my Father-In-Law’s funeral. I booked tickets for myself and my daughter for Air India through Expedia, since Air India was recently taken over by another company and their website is still under construction. I booked the tickets for July 7th from jfk to Mumbai and returning on July 22nd from Mumbai. The next day, when I tried to print the itinerary, it showed the reservation as canceled. Upon calling Expedia, I was being told that my reservation was canceled by airlines. When I called Air India, I was told that Expedia never generated those tickets and thats the reason I never received any e-confirmation for those tickets. I was been told by Expedia to rebook the tickets, which I did , as I had to travel urgently.

A week later, I realized that there was a charge for both the bookings on my credit card . Now , the Expedia and Air India, both have declined my request for refund saying that both the itineraries were partially used . However the fact is that I used only one itinerary , I never received any e-tickets on the other one,so those were never used .

It is case of complete harassment and fraud by the travel agency and the airlines and I ended up paying $9000 for the double booking.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR $$$! This company took my money and will not refund my $1400. I caught Covid and am not supposed to travel! I called to get a refund and the customer service told me “I HOPE YOU DON’T DIE”!!! Then proceeds to tell me that Delta must refund me. After speaking with you several managers they convinced me that delta will refund me. Delta who was very helpful!!! Told me that they can’t even identify my ticket amount and that it’s orbitz responsibility to refund me. After 5 hours on the phone with Orbitz I still have no refund! I guess they want me to fly with Covid!!! Because I can still make my flight and I refuse to lose $1400! I hope for their sake that I don’t infect the entire plane! If I don’t hear from corporate before 3p on Dec 20th I will unfortunately be putting others at risk because of their ignorance. Who has $1400 to just give away during the holiday season and during a pandemic?!!!

Event year 2021: This company does not deserve even one star. I am chatting with the hundredth time to an agent from another planet. He/she does not have a manager or supervisor and they keep lying to me to call All Nippon Airways to resolve this problem. Promising me for my October 2020 cancelled flight refund, i was supposed to wait 12 weeks from that October refund process. 12 weeks after, another agent without a supervisor or manager told me to wait 12 weeks which was last month March 2021. Lo and behold this month I got only half of my money! I am again told to wait 12 weeks for the other half! These people just love 12 weeks of lies. I already wrote my senator Sinema (AZ) about this. Before that i even wrote Senator Cantwell (WA), the head committee on commerce, science and transportation. No help. But want the CEO of Expedia and Orbtiz contact me since they are * incognito! Where are you? Give me back half of my money. Fyi, All Nippon Airways for the hundredth ask me why I am calling them when Orbitz should be refunding me. I told them that Orbitz told me several times to call you (ANA). I will be updating this review. For 6 months I have been more than polite and nice but now, the whole world should read this. Updated 2023 July.

The WORST!! Expedia owns Orbitz as of may 2021 and I want to say that I’ve never had such terrible customer service and a ruined vacation because of these mother f*@&$!#

Their customer service is overseas and they are terrible! They won’t let you talk to a manager. They will not call you back when say they will. They will not refund.

Instead of enjoying my vacation with my family I spent hours on the phone and never even got the help I needed or the product I booked and paid for with them, and instead had to just pay (again) one of their competitors for the services I needed.

I will tell everyone I know to never use Orbitz (or Expedia).

My wife and I were to go on a holy land tour that was to fly from Newark to Tel Aviv at the end of November. Obviously was cancel due to the situation in Israel. We had to cancel hotel reservation at the Newark Hampton. Found out that is non refundable which is in the fine print. E are done with Expedia.
