God bless this restaurant in Chicago called Fattoush, which is fully booked every night during the great month of Ramadan. However, it's disheartening to see that they deny walk-ins from fasting individuals while prioritizing reservations from non-fasting customers.

I personally experienced two different situations. In Detroit, at a restaurant called Al-Ameer, I witnessed them deny entry to a non-fasting family but kindly offered them a reservation for an hour later. When I walked in, they welcomed me right away. On the other hand, at Fattoush, I had to beg the waitress to wait an hour or two for a table. She had to consult the manager, took my phone number, but never called me back. I eventually had to return and beg again just to be seated.

A message to the owner: God is only asking for one hour of your business to accommodate fasting individuals looking for a place to break their fast, even when they are  paying $48 per person. But to be fair, I must say—it is the best buffet of all.

Ayat and Mais were my host. This was my first experience and dining at the restaurant.

I discovered this location via yelp search looking for lamb. The restaurant is excellent. The food was well prepared and well displayed. I had to utilize my photography skills for all to see.

Fattoush has the most delicious Mediterranean food starting from Falafel to the garlic hummus and all the way to the kebabs! Each piece is lip smacking and when you start there’s nothing as a stop to the delicious sojourn through each piece. The ambience and service is absolutely incredible and it just makes the overall experience so special! We ended up visiting Fattoush twice in a few weeks though it’s so far from our home. It’s absolutely worth a special treat or party too! We loved how the staff remembered us the next time we visited and thanked us for our time. They ran out of Kunafa and I have heard rave reviews so I will be going back soon!

I’ve been to this place multiple times they always provide delicious and quality Middle Eastern food. This time we went for brunch, the hummus and beans were fantastic. Their Arayes were very tasty. Unfortunately, they did not offer Manakeesh.

The overall experience was good. The servers were polite. The overall atmosphere is OK, nothing too fancy.

they offer hookah as well. Overall, if you’re looking to enjoy a good meal, this is the place to go.

It was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back.
I ordered a grilled salmon that came with rice hummus a side salad. The combination of flavors that burst in my mouth were exactly what I needed. Service was on point ! The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. Everything was just so delicious!

The food and drinks were amazing, but the long wait was a major drawback. We waited an hour to be served, which is unacceptable. I gave them three stars because of the wait.

I visited this restaurant with my family on Christmas night, hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, what we faced was deeply disheartening. From the moment we entered, there was an undeniable sense of discrimination from the staff. We were repeatedly ignored, and I had to ask multiple times for something as basic as water and bread, only to be given the runaround.

Even after addressing the situation and expressing how unwelcome we felt, there was no attempt to rectify the behavior. As a non-Arab Muslim, I was shocked to experience such blatant disregard in what should be an inclusive environment. Not once did anyone check on us or ask if we needed anything more beyond what we ordered.

This was supposed to be a special treat for my family and my mother to celebrate my new job, but it turned into a traumatic and belittling experience—on Christmas night, of all times.

I don’t know if other guests were treated the same way, but this needs to be called out so the management can take serious action. In a diverse country like America, where so many cultures coexist, this kind of behavior is unacceptable.

I have never faced such treatment at nearby establishments like Shibam or Albawadi Mixed Grill, where we’ve always felt welcome and respected. This experience was a major disappointment, and I hope the management steps up to ensure no one else feels this way in the future.
