One best experiences of my life. Being able to view brown bears hunt for salmon was awesome. Ben was an excellent pilot and ensured we had a great experience. I highly recommend booking this trip if you want to experience the wonderful Katmai National Park and Preserve.

This was a fantastic experience. My wife, our som and I took this trip and were very pleased. Sean- the owner- and Dave- the pilot- are focused on making sure that you have a great and SAFE journey. We got started late because of a low lying dense fog which would have made landing dangerous if not impossible. A family of four, a dad and his son and us all decided to wait to see if we would get a chance to go. We did and it was well worth it. In fact we all agreed the the flight down and back was worth the price of the tour and the viewing of the bears in Katmai was a bonus. Absolutely a great tour with great guys who are focused on you enjoying Alaska

Great company for a fantastic experience! Our day trip down to Katmai (through King Salmon - and honestly, I'd recommend doing the tour with the King Salmon stop - it was cool to get to ride two different planes, talk with two pilots, and see a small glimpse of the fishing village of King Salmon) was seamless.

Friendly staff and pilots, smooth flights and landings, clean and well maintained planes, and clear and timely communication from the time of booking through the day of the trip.

The price tag is steep but this is 100% a once in a lifetime experience. Would highly recommend going to Katmai and would highly recommend going with Fly Katmai!

If you're trying to decide who to fly to Katmai with, this is the company to do it with. They were amazing! They had us away as quickly as possible and were full of fabulous information on the flight out as well as great tips on how to get ahead of the crowd, which was made easier by them being organised and on time. An the BEARS!!!! Oh wow, this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get up close and personal and we loved it. Thanks Fly Katmai, you guys were amazing.

We had an excellent experience and pilot-Dave. Informative and fun flying with Fly Katmai. The real plus is we took off early from ANC so we could arrive earlier than most other charters. This allowed us to get to the prime viewing platform at Brooks Falls without having a long waiting period.
Saw lots of bears a great lunch at the lodge which is included with trip.
To top it off on our return flight Dave provided an additional treat of finding us some Caribou to check out on some of the snowfields.

As all the other reviews share: Perfect experience with Fly Katmai and Dave the pilot. When I sat as copilot, he pointed out cool things along our route. He flew the plane close to plains to see caribou and twice around Iliamna Volcano for great views.

If traveling in peak Summer: be prepared to be frustrated by crowds at Brooks Falls, but that's obviously out of Fly Katmai's realm.

Amazing! It was great to be able to fly straight from Anchorage to Katmai by float plane, since we were just doing a day trip. It got us there before other people/groups, and that meant we didn't have to wait too long in the Brooks Falls line (that's a big deal).

When we left the park, our pilot took a scenic route back to Anchorage, pointing out various wildlife and circling a volcano close up. I wasn't expecting that at all, and it really added to the experience.

Such a great day, and I highly recommend Fly Katmai.

Dave was an awesome pilot, and flew over additional areas just to show us some more of wild Alaska. He is very fun, friendly, and knowledgeable about Alaska, the parks, fishing, or anything else you want to ask him. Highly recommend these guys, such an amazing experience!
