The Old Town tour was not to be missed! John did a fantastic job explaining the history of this fascinating area, including great pictures to help illustrate important points and give us a better feel of life here in the 1800’s. The tour included a visit to the studio of a famous SB artist which was really special as his home designs were funky and really special. The tour was well organized with bathroom and coffee stops. You could tell John really enjoyed what he was doing and done deeply into the local history. Overall a great way to spend a morning and really appreciate the area in a whole new light. Off to Funk Zone tour tomorrow!

What a great tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the buildings and history of Santa Barbara. He was friendly and seemed to really enjoy what he does. He shares pictures of what some of the buildings looked like over time. I learned a lot about a place that I loved as a child. Wear good walking shoes! I would take the tour again.

What a fun experience to have while in Santa Barbara. We have been to Santa Barbara many times and are always looking for different ways to enjoy the city. Craig was amazing! He was fun and full of knowledge about the city. The photo album with important historical references is a nice touch to the walk.

I recommend this simple and easy to do adventure when visiting Santa Barbara, whether it's your first time or you've visited many times before. It's a bit cloudy and cool, so for me it was great walking weather (Sat 6/8).

My friend and I took the Funk Zone walking tour. It was fascinating and fun! We have lived here for 32 and 55+ years and found out there is a lot we did not know about our town and the Funk Zone in particular. John was a fabulous guide with a wealth of knowledge about historical facts and current updates. I have no doubt the other two tours: Waterfront and Old Town, will be very worthwhile. I enthusiastically recommend these tours… for locals and visitors alike.

It was an amazing tour, I took the Waterfront tour with John. He was so nice and made the tour very interesting, giving great history facts about Santa Barbara. It is about 1.5 hours that you won't even notice as there are several stops where you can sit while John tells the stories.
It is a great choice to have a general view of the waterfront and get to know the not so known side of the city.

I’ve done the Funk Zone tour twice now and adore John and the rest of the tour guides! It’s such a great way to explore parts of downtown Santa Barbara you might otherwise miss, and I love learning about the history of the Funk Zone. Plus, they do a great job making the tour engaging and keeping you comfortable and having a good time. I’ll definitely be back for more!
