On Sunday October 27th, we arrived at our gate at noon for our flight that was scheduled to depart at 1:27pm. (Flight number 4065 from DFW-SEA).

At approximately 12:58pm, I went to the restroom. One minute later the final boarding call was made (the first we heard). My travel partner immediately got up from her seat and quickly walked to the desk as the employee was closing the gate door. She said, “Excuse me, we are on this flight and my…” the associate interrupted to tell my travel partner she had already made the final call and the gate was closed. My travel parter called me immediately, it was 1:01pm.

I returned a moment later and tried to talk to the associate about the situation as well. Her and the other two employees were obviously on their way to take a break. She bluntly stated “it’s your fault, you missed final call” as they continued to walk away with zero regard or sympathy.

We tried to talk to the employee at departures and were told we needed to call frontier. After multiple attempts to contact frontier, we were told there were no more flights today. I told her I purchased travel insurance (through frontier) and asked how we go about getting reimbursed, and she said frontier doesn't handle the claims, that I'd have to speak with the insurance agency.

We needed to get home to our jobs and children, so had to book our own flights on another airline. Which was an additional $700.

Furthermore, when we returned to Seattle it was a nightmare to get our bag. The baggage person from frontier that called me would not answer the phone or return my call. We went to the frontier desk and they told us to go stand by some random door. After walking around for about an hour someone finally came out from the secured area with our bag.

This has been the worst experience we have ever had flying or with customer service. None of your employees seemed to care about our experience whatsoever. We will never use Frontier again!

Me and my friend are extremely upset because she had a last flight from Seattle to San Diego, and Frontier closed the door on the last four passengers in line. The supervisor(Yele) couldn’t explain why they did this, and now my friend has to buy a new ticket. She’s going to sleep in the airport, and our plans for tomorrow are ruined. Frontier needs to explain why they closed the door with only four passengers left to board, and they should refund the ticket cost. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Finally, they fixed the issue (after 12hours for complaining) and gave her good rewards. It’s just stressful and annoying to book a new flight on a short time.

Frontiers app shows a price of $69 to add a carry on bag. The app kept crashing and would not allow to add it. Then they charged $99 at the gate. Frontier would not honor the app prices.

Adding to this, all other airlines I’ve flown in the last 2 years (flying over 10 times) allow me to board with the backpack as a personal item without fee. Would not recommend flying them as they overcharge.

My family travels often, about 10 flights per year. My kids carry their bags and know exactly what to bring, because we do not check bags, ever. I bought convertible garment backpacks that have extra pockets but are small to bring as a personal item and had NEVER had an issue. The lady who acted as the owner of the last FRONTIER continued to send passengers back and told us to pay $99 per bag. She was the rudest person to ever work in the airline industry. The majority of passengers boarding had to pay or leave their belongings. She made my grandmother (in a wheelchair) go in by herself while she checked the rest of our family about 10 times. At one point a passenger that was in line started recording and she threatened to take away his phone or not let him in the plane if he didn’t delete the photo/video. I requested the name of the employee but was told she was contracted but not an employee. Frontier your passengers are being humiliated and mistreated please make sure that they do their job while being courteous and treating people with respect. This woman had no shame, she called an artist passenger a drunk because he didn’t have money to pay for his backpack that was a bit bulky and he threw all his clothes away (EVERYTHING had to fit evenly, well within the small compartment and inside your bag, not even a strap could come close to the edge)

I’m in Seattle. Love this guy. He is so easy to understand. Very good with the rules. He made the process go so smoothly. You can tell he has some social differences but they make him better at the job. Maybe his name was Matthew. Cannot remember. So polite and so direct.

I have used them 20 times or so this year. Most flights are great. Flight crews are a mixed bag but you pay extra for everything even water. Great value.

I had such a terrible experience with the children working the frontier check in desk last night . Around 10Pm-1Am . I came in to check into a flight that had been delayed until 11:15. Showed up around 10:11 to check in . Walked to the desk told fraysia I couldn’t check in on my phone she told
Me I could check in at the front desk . I said cool I’ll be right back to get my bags . Before I left she didn’t say anything about you should stay right here to check in because If you don’t the system is going to close in a few minutes . When I come back is when she tells me the system is already closed and I can’t check in I have to book another flight. Mind you my flight hasn’t left yet . I’m sitting at the counter waiting for a manger for over an hour . I begin talking to another lady darkskin with braids and she’s trying to help me book another flight because fraysia and another Spanish looking girl is telling me my flight is already gone . I then get a text at 11:31 saying my flight is delayed again and won’t be leaving until 11:58Pm by this point I’m pissed because me and my twin have been stressing trying to find new flights and our original flight hasn’t even left yet . I go to the counter and tell the ladies my flight says it’s still here and it’s being delayed again and there reasoning for telling me my flight has left is because they weren’t able to check me in on there computers . Mind you I’ve been asking for a manger this whole time . The two ladies then walk off and tell me they are going to get a manger after I tell them I use to work for an airport I know they above a badge they can swipe to get them to the airport gate . So they could’ve been went to the gate and let someone at the gate know what was going on . Instead the stood there did nothing until it was too late and my flight was already gone . The two ladies also never went and got a manager instead called airport security as if I was the problem . I got a picture of the two ladies who stayed knowing my flight was still at the airport . But Fraysia was already gone she walked off to the side to help another white lady who was having an issue but was on the same plane I was suppose to be on . When I asked for these ladies name they told me it was illegal for them to give there names or badge numbers out . Mind you I use to work for DCA Ronald Reagan I know that’s a lie . Also fraysia told me her name was may . The only reason I know her name is fraysia is because my sister called today trying to figure out what we can do to get home she described her and he said her name wasn’t may it’s fraysia . She was brown skin with a black head wrap on . It’s currently 1:09 Pm 4/22/2024 and I’m still trying to get in touch with frontier for vouchers home .

Frontier used to be a really great airline about 10 to 12 years ago. Not anymore. They have become one of the worst airlines for on-time departures and arrivals, poor customer service, and just a really bad experience overall. I made a mistake of flying with them recently (due to schedule), and I will look for other and better options going forward. My preferred airline these days is Alaska Airlines.
