We’ve been visiting Gene’s off and on for 20* years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.
The rooms are cool. Just don’t expect any extras. But the views make up for that.
My wife and I always move the couch from the wall to sitting directly in front of the picture window. This allows the best view of the river and a perfect place to drink coffee in the morning and read in the afternoon.

Great fishing destination, rooms and facilities need lots of TLC. Enjoyed our trip overall but the property needs updating and maintenance. Great location for getting out on the water. Excellent trout fishing and knowledgeable staff.

We started going to Gene's a couple of years ago and have really enjoy it. We come back each spring and fall to trout fish. It is not fancy by any means and the beds leave some comfort to be desired but it is always clean, the location cannot be beat and the prices are great.

One of the best accessible cabins in the region. True roll in shower and wheelchair accessible. 3 minutes to Dry Run Creek.

We had 2 cabins for a group. Upon check in, one cabin reeked of weed smoke. Website says rooms are non smoking. Says no marijuana smoking in rooms. Walked back to office spoke with older gentleman working the office. He said they are not supposed to be smoking in rooms but he was a “good customer”. He would take care of it. Sent maintenance by with some room spray. Next day. Same issue. In the second cabin, toilets were not flushing good. Several sinks clogged and not draining. Maintenance came by to unclog but still had issues. Furniture is run down. Couch smelled. Patio furniture seating was torn. One of our group woke up second day with ants in the bed. Also in kitchen. We ended up keeping all snacks in the microwave.
We had stayed here before few years ago but we will not be back. Owners are not keeping the property up and doesn’t care about what is going on there. Could not recommend this place any less. Save your $ and look on air bnb.

I always enjoy staying and fishing at Gene's fishing resort. The views from the cabin decks are beautiful with the river and early morning fog. The trout fishing is always excellent and the guilds know how to put you on the fish!

Had a great time here. Rooms were older, but it was a fishing trip, and all I needed was a bed. Check-in was smooth, and the cabin was clean and stocked. Maybe bring a frying pan to be safe, our cabin just had an old electric skillet. Cell service was non-existent, but I enjoy that. You should focus more on the area as it is beautiful. Trout fishing was good. Everyone had an excellent extended weekend. Will definitely be returning for more serenity and fishing.

Clean Cabins, staff were very nice and helpful. The river view is absolutely breathtaking! I stayed in cabin 1 and have been coming here for years this place is always a nice welcoming place to catch some big fish. I was fortunate enough to catch a 10+ pound brown the 4th night of my stay and was very fortunate to have caught a 10+ pound rainbow trout just off the dock. The big fish are definitely around and I’m looking forward to go again soon!
