We did one of the coup tours today. I can’t say enough good things about it. Our tour guide Mike was so informative and easy to listen too. He was funny and enjoyable and kept everyone’s interest. He gave us a pretty in-depth perspective about the battle. We appreciated that. Josh was great about leading the coups and making sure everyone was safe in the intersections and navigating around the battlefield. This tour was by far the most fun thing we have done in Gettysburg in all of our visits. We will def be back. Highly recommend doing this tour. Well worth the money. This is a veteran owned business which we considered a bonus. We love supporting our vets. Thank you Josh for your service.

We took the Battlefield tour and it was excellent! Josh, the owner, was welcoming and made check in so easy. The tour was 2 1/2 hours and Rich our licensed battlefield guide took us through all 3 days of the battle and explained all of it thoroughly. There were many questions asked, and Rich was happy to answer all of them. Shout out to Adam who lead us on the ride and was very attentive to anything we may need. If you are in the area, Gettypeds is the only way to see this historic event! We look forward to taking family back here for a visit!

I was worried the kids would be bored out of their minds on a bus or car tour of the battlefields. But doing the Getty Peds tour looked like something they could be excited about. We had a great time! Our guide, Rich had so much knowledge and customized the tour to the group to special things like stopping by our states monument. I think the best part was getting unobstructed views out in the open driving around. It was a beautiful day and you could really take in the views and many monuments as you were riding through.

A Military Veteran Family Still Serving

Gettysburg has always been on my “Bucket List” of things to do. On July 13, 2024, my family and I had the chance to finally check it off. As a U.S. Army (SFC) retired “Infantryman”, I did my trip planning (online) prior to our departure for an eleven-day NE whirlwind vacation. I booked my GettyPeds reservation online and accidentally put in the wrong time for rental pick up. Upon realizing this, I emailed the company with the change time request and received a rapid “can do and done” response.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a smiling and friendly owner (Josh) and staff who confirmed our reservations and answered all our questions about a self-guided tour, they even provided a detailed map. We were given a safety and operating briefing for the coups and were then let go to our own devices (freedom). The self-tour worked for me because I could proceed at my own pace to take in the sites without being rushed.
The coups were nice and can get up to speed rather quickly. They are not fancy nor difficult to operate and provide basic transportation. If you (or couple) are large, you will bump elbows. As I am a disabled (and slightly portly) Veteran, I had some difficulty getting in and out of the coups due to their (or my) design. The coups have rear roll bars, these I used to bungy cord my camera bag onto.
Note to Josh: Adding a basket of some type to the back would be useful.
As it would happen, we were there during the “Bike Week” and there were motorcycles everywhere. This provided a lot of noise and congestion; I suggest a person might want to check the Gettysburg activities calendar for such things.
Our overall experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend the patronage of this business. Communications were great, customer service was fantastic, and the equipment worked well. My only regret is that a four-hour tour is just not long enough to take in the whole battlefield, so I will have to plan a longer stay on my next trip.
GettyPeds is a Veteran friendly business and I thank Josh and Nikki for their service to our country.

Definitely schedule and book in advance and I only wish you could rent them for longer periods of time. Overall it was a blast. Very easy to operate even if you never rode a motorcycle. Owner goes over hand controls with you and shows you how to operate them. I will definitely rent them again in future.

Nice little way to get around and enjoy the open air. These little 3 wheeled rentals are nice for doing self guided tours or just having some fun driving around and enjoying the scenery. Not a bad price but just wish the carts were a little bit larger, but unless you are over 6'6", don't miss this fun time. I'd recommend renting GettyPeds to anyone and they also rent electric bicycles and offer guided tours which are also fun ways to enjoy Gettysburg. Thank you
