This museum was very interesting with an emphasis on the civilian experience during the battle. I look forward to returning as two hours we spent there went by too quickly. Pictured is the Getty Tavern with Tavern games on the tables. Most are available for purchase at the gift shop. Our 8 year old grandson loves a dice game used to spell words. Very educational. Highly recommend during your visit to Gettysburg.

This is an excellent new museum that’s a perfect compliment to the Gettysburg Military Park museum. I highly recommend coming to both museums. This one focuses more of the civilian experience, which is fascinating. The displays are extremely well designed and the museum has an excellent flow to it. The immersive experience of the house during the battle should not be missed. The artifacts are well labeled and explained. Overall, this is an extremely well designed museum and it will be a great addition to the town.

This was such a phenomenal experience. My 2 boys loved it, especially the Caught in the Crossfire exhibit. The children's set up with the Colonial stuff was great and my boys had to visit it multiple times. Went to the Dinosaur and Meteorite talk on Sunday was incredible. You all hit a home run and it was worth every penny. It is now on my list of places to take people when I visit.

Very cool museum to visit! It's 2 floors, mainly the museum is on the first floor, but there is an events room and a study upstairs. It is wheelchair accessible and has an elevator. There are some interactive aspects and some videos that go on. Also there is a really cool room that gives you a realistic experience. Highly recommend coming if you love history! Grand opening is April 15

Nicely done museum that shows many different and not usually explained aspects of the Gettysburg area. Good 'experience room' which gives patrons a firsthand experience of what it may have been like to have been a resident of Gettysburg when it was under attack by rebel forces. The only downside is that there are audio recordings that you can hear throughout the museum which detract from reading all of the many exhibits that are offered. A little too much going on all at the same time.

This was incredible and worth every penny. Gettysburg NAILED it with this museum. A beautiful tribute to this gorgeous little town. The best, but also most emotional part, was the room simulating what it was like to live in one of the homes as the war rages through
We'll be back for sure

The museum was featured on entertainment pages at work. Talked about the house experience and we were very interested in it. Purchased tickets online to make access easier. We enjoyed learning about the history of Adams County from the prehistoric Era to the battle of Gettysburg and to the present. Hiding in the house with family while the battle raged was very good. Everyone at the museum was friendly and knew their history.

A new museum that provides a complete overview of Adam's County history. It has a section for the Battle of Gettysburg, but shows a complete history of the area. The building is also a temperature and humidity controlled for the storage of thousands of items covering Adam's County history. A small snack bar is available. This new museum is highly recommended for people of all ages.
