The tour center was where I had my first official job. Sharon and Ken were my boss's. I loved working at the old place. I met some many people from all over the world. Famous and non famous.
The new building is nice but I miss the feel of the old. Guess it my nostalgia coming through.
My youngest and I stopped in to check out the place since it had been remodeled. Lots of souvenirs. The place was clean and the guy at the desk was nice.

Our tour guide was great. Sunset was beautiful. We went on a double decker tour bus. I was just taking pictures just to take pictures not realizing I had caught some orbs. I think to see from that perspective and we were about 15 miles away from the town. It really showed how much land they had to cover and everything. I think everyone should come to Gettysburg to learn the history. The tour center had a great deal where you buy a value pack and do a tour and have basically 3 museums to pick from. We did all 3 museums plus the tour in one day it was perfect.

We took the sunset tour on the double-decker bus on Saturday, October 13. The guide was a wealth of knowledge! My husband and I learned so much on this 2 hour tour!

The bus takes you all throughout the town as well as into the battlefields. The guide tells you about the town, the homes, the buildings. In the battlefields, you learn about the many state monuments and statues. You get out at Little Round Top and the view is breathtaking! The tour guide gives you more information at that location.

We sat at the top on the back with Rosie, another guide. She was so lovely!

This is important. Arrive 15 minutes before the departure time. We made the mistake of arriving 3 minutes before the 4:30 pm time slot and almost missed the bus. I had no idea that we had to arrive 15 minutes early. The person in the center told me that. I went back and read the details of my reservation and saw it.

Such a fun time - glad we made the bus!

Wonderful tour experience, however, the staff could be a bit more clear on what we're getting with our tour packages. We ordered the value pack and had to rely on the website to tell us what the difference was. The entire tour we weren't sure if everyone else had the same package, or if we had to change buses at some point. We thought they made a mistake until we checked the website.

Other than that, highly informative. The guide was well educated and while I had no questions, he was able to reply to really off the walls one I wouldn't even think to ask.

We had a great time on our tour of the orphanage and Jennie Wade house. Our guide Tom was wonderful and did a great job answering everyone's questions and making the tour exciting and fun (and spooky 😊). Highly recommended!

When visiting the Jennie Wade house, upon entering the house was a feeling of being watched. As we were told to go upstairs, I was the first person to go up the stairs, because I wanted to see if I could feel anything in the room without anyone there. I climbed the stairs and as soon as I reached the top of the stairs, I got a very uneasy feeling accompanied by goosebumps, and felt an extreme cold chill blow through me. I did see my breath but for only a second. Our tour guide felt nothing and she was behind me. I knew there was something in the room with us and soon after the group joined up. As they went through the wall and went down the joining house’s staircase to the kitchen, I stayed behind to get a feeling of the room. I swore I was not alone. I pulled out my phone and took a few pictures. What I captured in one of my photos gave me absolute chills. You can’t see it in the initial picture but when I zoomed in on the mirror in the bedroom, thats when I saw a very strange anomaly with a face. I definitely want to go back so I can get more pictures in the house. When we got into the cellar, I did get a photo in the dark, that I needed to edit the contrast on to make out some images, and there was one extra person in the photo that was not physically in the room. The man sitting down sat in that spot to provoke Jennie Wade’s father as we were told that was his area and not to sit over there. The man later told me that it felt as if he was punched in the back of the ribs. Here are my photos. In the basement, I took two pictures, lights on, and lights off.

The double decker bus tour was well worth the money for the tickets! We greatly enjoyed getting a detailed tour of the town and battlefield by a professional tour guide. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable! The bus tour is probably the best way to understand and see all the history of Gettysburg. There was a bathroom stop at the halfway point and there was also another stop where you could get out and take pictures at the Pennsylvania monument, which was amazing to see!
