The lady up from was very nice the man on the other hand was very grumpy and rude. I thought it was a good price till I walked in. Floors u could tell that they were not swept or mopped. Urine and body hair on the toilet and down the sides. Grossed me out. Microwave didn't heat anything. Dust and drink rings and sticky stuff on all the table tops. And u can tell the comforters haven't been changed in a very long. Along with the shames and that was all u got. Over all it would be a nice place if each room had a deep cleaning. But for now it's over priced. I wanna go beyond saying that's my opinion because it's facts! And the roaches I only seen a couple but u know.

I've given very few super negative reviews, but here I go.
I was in the area to see the eclipse and witnessed a horrific accident.
First on the scene of one of two vehicles in the accident. Went to the other vehicle, found an infant, and the mother and then the driver who was critically injured. Waived all emergency vehicles to go to the critically injured. Went back to the other vehicle and stayed with the young lady. Even went to the hospital with her. After she was released, I drove her around to handle all the issues with the accident and help her find a hotel. I explained to the people who were at the hotel front desk our issues with the accident they seemed to be apathetic. But now I know they were not. Just money hungry. I paid them what they wanted. The next morning, I left all my stuff in the room. The young lady and I had to go many places, i.e., tow lot, sheriff office, rental car place. You get the picture!
Returned to the room 40 minutes after check out, they had shrewn all my items out of the room saying they had re-rented it. But they had not finished the room and had many other rooms they were working on. Majorly because the eclipses was over,
and many customers were leaving, not coming to get rooms. And I wanted redo my room for another night. Furthermore, they certainly could have called me to see what my plans were. Instead, they entered the room, removed my item hap-hazardly, and left unsecured. Almost as though there was a fire or something. These people have no concern for the customers. Even when they knew what the situation was.

YOU USE THIS BUSINESS AT YOUR OWN RISK. I advise, stay away.

The lady at the office at Gray Plaza was very helpful, smiled a lot, showed me a room, gave us a good rate and in general made me feel comfortable about the booking, which was on site, on the spur of the moment as we were traveling at Christmas and unfamiliar with the area. The room has everything we need, as experienced road travelers - good sized fridge, big desk and bedside tables with extra plugins, fast reliable wifi, hot water, plenty of bathroom counter space, heavy fluffy towels, soap and shampoo, and in our room a comfy couch and very clean floors and fixtures. This came after I had talked to a desk clerk at a name-brand giant motel down the road who "wasn't sure" if she had a room for us and did not know what the military discount was even though she swore they had one. So Gray Plaza with its neat retro drive-up ambience, reasonable rates and confident, honest staff was a welcome find and if we come this way again we will most definitely come back to Gray Plaza!

The price was right, I booked via booking.com. The appearance when we arrived made me nervous. But we were driving 12 hrs and needed a rest. The man told me the price was wrong and told me it's $74.00/night when I booked for $54.00. |I refused so he gave it to me. Was grumpy when I asked for a receipt and wouldn't give me my change until I returned the key. |The room was very old and dated. I got an earry feeling when entering the room. The curtains had holes in them looked like bullet holes. I was so freaked out (bad energy or something) I slept about and hour then packed my family up and kept driving. The beds were hard and worn, could feel springs. The room was very clean. Just very dated and banged up furniture. It was cold. Only a cold air switch, couldn't find the heat. Man at front didn't give me the wifi password. Not a great stay.

Wasn't as bad inside the rooms as you would think pulling into the parking lot. They were clean, didn't hear a bunch of loud people, actually slept really well. Price was a little high. If needed if stay there again

The room was cleaned and nice looking but when it comes for us to pay for another two weeks we were told that we can’t because we didn’t use house keeping. I wouldn’t recommend staying here they are extremely rude and hateful, and they will just walk into your room without knocking.

Front desk staff fiendly and helpful. Room was newly renovated, new carpet, linens, paint, curtains and bathtub was clean and smelled fresh there is a flat screen Tv, micro wave and fridge. Liked the quietness.

I'll preface by saying I was here for the total eclipse. It was the only place available, even at NYC price of $200/nite. Based on the reviews, I almost canceled. I am so glad I did not. Not to be snooty, but I normally stay in luxury accommodations, yet I was very happy here. Based on the reviews, I expected Addams Family. Or the Exorcist.|Is it run down? Miserably so. Does it look like "drifter" lodging? Yep. But they were most friendly and the room/fridge was clean, clean, clean. Free bag o' chips and water. Free solar glasses. Freshly washed blanket on demand. Great bed. Good internet. Could you really ask for more? Well, yes, but considering the hordes of eclipse watchers, at its epicenter , it worked just fine. |If your really on a budget, this is the place to go.|
