MUCH IMPROVED!!! The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and they assisted us with a scheduling issue. The hotel manager sent a text when we arrived to make sure the accommodations met our needs. I really like having text communications with the hotel. This proved helpful when we needed to extend our stay. We come to town frequently, our son plays football for JAX State. This is our 4th stay at this hotel and every time they have improved both service and support. Nice work! I'll be back!

I scheduled this hotel for a business trip, but after reading the reviews, I attempted to cancel. Although my company's AMEX Booking agency states a 24 hrs cancelation notice, the front desk person, Allison stated 48 hrs notice is required, and recommended I call the manager in the morning to try to work something out. That was not the problem I had. The major isssue I had was with the very UNPROFESSIONAL attitude of Allison. First, there was very loud talking and laughing in the background, as if they were partying in the lobby, while I was attempting to have a conversation regarding my reservation. Then, when I expressed my concerns regarding the reviews of the roaches and bedbugs, she cut me off mid-sentence, while laughing, and tried to rush me off the phone. I was just simply trying to ask if they got the bug situation under control because I am very fearful of bugs, roaches, rodents, etc. She was VERY RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL and told me, me asking her name did not mean anything to her. As a result, I am canceling my reservation and will commute 1.5 hrs from home to work rather than stay in a bug infested establishment with POOR customer service.

Hotel is very welcoming and pet friendly. Plenty of parking and nice large green area to walk our dog! All the staff we interacted with were pleasant. The room is spacious, bed is comfy. Plenty of pillows. Room has microwave, mini fridge and small coffee maker. The bathroom is spacious too. Full refillable bottle with hand soap, body lotion, gel douche, shampoo and conditionner. All the products are sulfate and preservative free! Located close by restaurants, CVS and many other stores. Last but not least the breakfast is amazing! Breakfast room is vibrant with a red and green decor. Comfortable seating. There is something for everyone, waffle, bread, muffin, eggs, bacon, cereal, fruit, coffee, juices..... The fitness room is a bit small but The hôtel was not busy so it was fine! The swimming pool is small too! The pool water was dirty and cloudy. I asked when the pool was being cleaned. I was told daily. The chemicals are off for the pool to be that cloudy. It was disappointing, I like using the pool whenever I travel! Also the outdoor gate to the door is not secure by hotel key access, anyone can open it and use the pool. That is a concern of safety and liability! I gave a 4 stars because of the pool!

Super friendly staff. Rooms were clean but a bit dated (worn carpet, squeaky needs). Great breakfast options!

Roach ? + bed bugs + used unwashed towels. Stay away from this location. Woke up at 1am to find huge roach just above my bed. Took over an hr before I managed to catch it and do what the hotel could not. That thing moved fast and hid somewhere for a while. The. After a couple of hrs of sleep woke up covered in in bed bugs bites. Checked out at first light. Asked for a refund and to cancel my 2 nd night which I had booked. We’ll see what happens but don’t have much hope.

Hot Water and Bonus Points

This isn't a bad hotel. It's clean and serviceable with a nice staff that doesn't appear to be put out that they have customers like some hotels these days.

My room wasn't vacuumed (a cough drop on the floor was the tell) but they quickly got someone up there to take care of it.

My real issue is the lack of hot water for of the three mornings I was there. I was probably one of the fortunate ones on my floor because my shower was lukewarm at best so I was probably getting the last of the good stuff. Apparently, the hotel was having issues with a hot water heater that was randomly impacting certain floors.

Yes, not having hot water is an issue for sure. Not telling your customers until they say something is a bigger one for me. However, when I told the manager she offered to give me some points. Naturally, I accepted. However, it's taken over a week for them to do it.

I'm sure the hot water issue will be resolved and it's not something ever run into before but this is a review of my experience and there you have it.

Good luck.

Worst experience as a guest I’ve ever had. Horrible customer service. There’s tons of people who are not guest who come to the pool and stay out back at this small picnic place tables all night long drinking and smoking weed. The smell around the hotel is terrible, I felt unsafe as the company around the hotel was very vulgar! At 11:00 the GM beat on my door demanding I get out of the shower bc my debit card declined, when it was actually an error on their end. Check out is at 12 yet made me leave right then. Initially denied a cash offer for remaining balance, then accepted it and I gave her $40 more than owed bc I didn’t want to deal with any more hostile rude unprofessional unprovoked customer service. I called Hampton corporate, and Hilton’s honors line promptly upon leaving the hotel to report the incident. Still haven’t received my $ 50 deposit… it was on the line of being treated so poorly that I should have notified the police. I have no idea how this hotel stays open. Hilton, shut them down or clean house bc it’s killing the chain and any values in which Hilton stands on. Will never ever ever go there again.

No place to hang your clothes, emergency stairs need to be cleaned. You may think about Emery lighting and some glow stripping in the steps and or hand railing your price for my room was very expensive compared to one of your competitors. It had a small kitchen. It was $65.00 less per night ?
