Great hotel! Rooms are clean, breakfast is hot with lots of great options including waffles that the kids love. Front desk staff is amazing here as well. Special thanks to Nate for being so nice and having such a great personality.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Arcata - and had the pleasure of being assisted by an exceptional front desk attendant named Tyler. From the moment I arrived, his warm smile and professional demeanor made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. He handled my check-in process swiftly, answering all my questions with patience and offering helpful recommendations for local dining and attractions. Throughout my stay, Tyler was attentive, ensuring any requests were addressed promptly and with care. His knowledge of the hotel’s services and genuine friendliness stood out, making my experience truly enjoyable. I’d highly recommend this hotel, thanks in large part to the cleanliness and outstanding service provided by the front desk staff!

Had a fantastic stay at this clean, well kept Hampton Inn. Nate meet me at the check in with a real friendly attitude. Steered us to a great restaurant and made sure we had everything we needed. Will most definitely be staying there again on our next trip to the CA Coast.

***BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS DO NOT STAY HERE***
Upon arrival I put my breast milk in the refrigerator of my room. I left to go visit a family member in the hospital and when I returned hours later all of my breast milk was bad due to the refrigerator not working. I had to go and buy formula for my hungry baby at 12am midnight as they are bottle fed and I had no milk now. When I brought my concerns to the desk they had said they are not sure what to do about the fridge. I had called later to ask where the ice machine was to store the milk I was currently pumping, they said they then could bring me a new fridge. They then knocked LOUDLY on my door at 1am when they came to switch the fridges causing my dogs to bark and upset other guests. I had requested a call when they came to the room so I could put my dogs in the bathroom to prevent the barking. When I went to speak with their assistant manager in the morning she was VERY RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I explained breast milk is only good at room temp for 4hours and it was in the fridge not cold for longer than the 4hrs. She then proceeded to say well then it’s not our fault it went bad if you didn’t ensure it was cold and stored properly. She said I should have checked to make sure the fridge was working and that it’s my fault for not ensuring the fridge was cold before putting my milk in the fridge. How is it a guests fault the fridge didn’t work? She then proceeded to tell me that guests had complaints about my dogs barking in the middle of the night when their staff had caused my dogs to bark.
I told her I didn’t appreciate the rude tone when I am expressing my concerns, she then told me I can take my concerns to corporate that she is not going to help me.

This is just the surface of my issues during my stay, I was also double charged for my room and was told the hold would be taken off my card but it has yet to be taken off or refunded.

Will not ever return to any of their locations after this experience. Traveling with a baby is hard enough without rude and unprofessional staff.

This is a well located property. The landscaping, parking lot, rooms, and common areas are well maintained. I would probably stay here again except our entire floor smelled of smoke from smokers the entire time we were there and when I told the person who was definitely the manager she had no clue. This means she’s not aware of what’s happening on her property. I’ll also add that I found the daytime front desk staff less than helpful, or in anyway accommodating. The guy who checked us in at night was great. But our entire stay kinda sucked because of the pervasive smoking.

I was told I need to pay a deposit for some silly thing but then found that there is no way to get the deposit back. It was a fee they called "a deposit". I was charged $18 a night for parking when there was a huge lot and plenty of parking. I left something in the room and when I went back that evening, I was told that they couldn't find the item. Breakfast was not very good. Overpriced and irresponsible.

This is my Favorite Hampton Inn in all of Northern California! Dalila, the Manager, and her Team are AMAZING! Payne and Nate at the front desk, the Housekeeping Staff, and Breakfast Staff are all wonderful ! Customer Care is a 10/10. I have been staying here for the past 10 years and love every trip here!

This is my FAVORITE Hampton Inn! Dalila has a wonderful Team of people here! Payne, Nate, and Alfredo at the front desk are excellent examples of people who provide outstanding customer service. I stayed there on Wednesday, and needed to stay an extra day this week and it was wonderful. Thank you all for making my stay so incredible. The housekeeping staff and so nice. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable, allowing for great rest and renewal of my energy. The breakfast staff is also wonderful, delivering up a superior breakfast, and a nice clean area to sit at and enjoy it.
