Deck the halls--it's Christmas at the Harter House in Anderson, IN!

Wow...residents, property manager (Robert), and maintenance man (Ian) have spiffed up our already beautiful apartment complex. We're still enjoying the thorough renovations from 2 years ago.

Harter House has abundant community space--outdoor seating, indoor dining area, great room, fitness room, library, puzzle area, laundry room and a lovely chapel. That's what I love most about Harter House--there's always someone to chat with and community is built in to this building!

December 1, 2024 will bring a new Activities Coordinator--bringing back BINGO, among other activities!

Management is friendly and responsive to our needs.

Currently, I've been here a few months and so far, the staff has been nothing but courteous, the maintenance man fixed the minor leaky faucet I had quickly ,and efficiently while I was at work, without disrupting my day, whatsoever. Robert, the apartment manager, has made sure I'm comfortable in my apartment, and the things are going well. I've had staff deliver mail packages directly to my door. The workout equipment in the lower level is ideal for me so I don't have to go all the way to the gym as is the washer and dryer so there's no need for trips to a laundry matt. The neighbors are all so friendly and most important, QUIET. I never hear a peep at night or early morning. This apartment seems to be fantastic so far.

I moved into Harter House the beginning of November. From my first contact with Robert, the manager, I was treated with respect and friendliness. He was very helpful with explanations and form work. He made my transition into Harter House pleasant and seamless. I will give them a five star rating.

I Would not RECOMMEND Harter House to anyone!! They have a BIG Problem with Bed Bugs and moved me right in without telling me they had a problem THIS PLACE, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR RESIDENTS, I now i will be contacting an attorney for the damages!!! The HARTER HOUSE is NOT A 55 + They rent to all ages from 18 and up. Do they have been sued in the past because of the Bed Bug Problem...and the Hall Ways smell like Marijuana and on the 3rd floor it smells like pet urine... just do some checking before you sign a lease. I'm a disabled Marine Corps Veteran of 8 yrs. 2 tours in Iraq, 2 tours in Afghanistan and i have never delt with a place like The HARTER HOUSE!!!
I Have Stage 3 Leukemia and I've been attacked by these Evil Bed Bugs since i moved in September of 2024 i kept on and kept on the Manager Robert there wasn't any bug treatments until January of 2025 the Bugs have caused me anxiety through the roof also causing me to have 2 Blood transfusion a month now and about a month ago a piece of metal flew off the building hit me in the face and Harter House won't file a personal injury claim with their insurance which is illegal to do!!! There was a storm that came through and tore shingles off the roof my insurance company says it Harter House property and I'm a resident so they are liable i own a 2018 cadillac with Full Coverage with a 1,000 deductible Harter House is saying that they won't file a claim Harter House needs to be shut down with the Bed Bugs alone and I will be contacting the resources such as HUD even though I pay 100% full rent ..
If you do move here to the HARTER HOUSE COMMUNITY Just BE SAFE and make sure you do your research on this place as I wish I had done it 1st.

I've been here a little over six years, seen some good people come and go, lots of changes, overall, I don't mind it here. Close to town. Right on the Bus route. Of course, there's always a little thing's that needs to be pointed out. But from every place I have lived or worked, pretty much similar situations. For the most part I like it. Roberto and upper Management are moving forward the best they can, trying to keep things positive!! Anonymous!!

Roberto was really really helpful getting my grandmother into her beautiful apartment, Ian is a really nice maintenance man who does his job well. I appreciate all the workers here for keep in this complex beautiful and stunning for the holidays
