Staff: Israel at the front desk was outstanding: friendly, professional, and helpful. My reservation got "lost in the system" and he kept working til he secured my room.
Room: I stayed in 1013. It was very clean. The bed was comfortable. I was near the elevator and was a little worried about noise of people coming and going; unfounded, I slept undisturbed.
Location: I won't hold Hartford against Marriott. Jokes aside, the location is very convenient to everything I had to get to. Plenty within walking distance and plenty of Ubers in the area.
Parking: the hotel is integrated with the convention center, so there is a large covered parking garage. It's $28 overnight, the hotel stamps your receipt and it gets you a $9 discount. It would be nice if it was fully validated parking.

My 12 year old son attended a youth conference for 2 days and stayed here. He said the rooms were nice. However, he came home and was missing his winter jacket. So I called them, front office put me on hold for 29 minutes and told me they were looking for it. Finally, I was told they couldn't locate the jacket. Now my son did not leave the establishment and go anywhere. So I'm puzzled and hate to think that someone grabbed it when they cleaned the room. In any case, this just leaves a really bad taste. Of course lesson is my son should take care of his belongings. But then again things happen and is lost items were never returned, what kind of a world would we be living in...

Our one night spent at this large convention hotel was perfect. the check-in was smooth, the lobby was spacious and parking was in the large attached ramp.||Because the concierge lounge was closed I was given a pair of coupons for the breakfast buffet, which was extensive complete with an omelette station that made them with perfection.||I had a two-room suite and our floor was quiet, despite the hotel being full. The room was spotless and bathroom was huge with a shower and large tub.||Great staff. Highly recommend.

Most of our interactions with the front desk were positive, but we had more than the average number of interactions because of issues with the WiFi throughout our stay--this may only be an issue if you book with points, but having to deal with IT multiple times on vacation is frustrating. Cleanliness is a bit of an issue, we found food crushed up in our carpet on arrival and the attached restaurant had unwashed dishes as part of their place settings. If you aren't lucky enough to get the river view, you may be looking over an alley full of dumpsters.

Stayed at the wonderful Hartford Marriott Downtown and from a business traveler perspective and a titanium Elite member and can't remember a better hotel experience. The checkin process was professional and well mannered, courtesy of Denisha on our first trip and Joyce on our second trip, The genuine niceness of the hotel team we interacted with from front desk, concierge lounge to breakfast is a testament to management's governance process of hiring great personnel. This hotel recognizes Bonvoy elite member and provides upgrades based on availability. The free breakfast buffet for Elite members was one of the best we ever which included great cook-to-order eggs, and fresh baked goods. The concierge lounge had great night time hors-d'oeuvres and bagged snacks. It is great that it is open 24-hours a day with snacks and drinks. The lounge is extremely luxurious with great views. ||The hotel rooms are great with either water views of the river or great downtown skyline views. The rooms are extraordinarily clean and most rooms have new beds.

So 4 stars because there are some things that were issues. If you want clean, bug free, with good workers this is definitely it. I searched for 5 hours before I decided on this hotel because of how many other hotels have bug issues… but not this one! My room was clean, fancy, I slept amazing!

The bad? They hold conferences here so if you want a quiet hotel this is not it. There were tons of kids running halls, slamming doors, screaming etc all night. Both nights! When my fiancé talked to the front desk in a joking matter about it we found out that it’s pretty common..

Also the breakfast is $23 buffet and it wasn’t worth even $10! It was the exact same taste and things that a hotel would normally give out included with the stay. Between the paying for the WiFi and the horrible breakfast I thought it would be fancier breakfast for the price but it wasn’t.. don’t waste your $.

My foster daughter enjoyed the pool one morning and we enjoyed the shower very much! I booked with Super.com for a deal.

Stayed here for the second time for business. The hotel staff was not much friendly rather reluctant to help out on special queries such as ordering room service and room change requests. No complimentary water in the room. Had to go down to buy the water and only discover that they had complimentary water bottles of 100 ml at the reception.|| Since i had to workfrom the hotel room at the beginning, i needed toorder lunch to the room. The staff on the phone was not clear in explaining the menu options available for the room service. The room service menus were only available through the app donwload which i could not do due to storage restrictions on the phone and privacy purposes. On my request for the room service order, my call was transferred to someone else instead of addressing my query on spot or at least explaining that that they are transferring the call. With this attitude there was no desire to order any food to the room. Decided to go outside to find restaurants around the hotel. ||Gym was good, but no disinfectants available. People were using equipment without disinfecting before or after the use.

First things first I do not believe this hotel is worth its price tag. In the rooms the blankets provided absolutely no warmth and this is New England. Due to my loyalty status with Marriott I got a room upgrade, however I booked an accessible room and got upgraded to a not accessible room. Luckily, my illness goes in waves so I did not need it that badly that day, but this is a large oversight. Also the pool is really old and creepy. It is loud and there was some kind of black stuff. The pool is also on the top floor the 22nd. There are no stairs into the pool so you either have to go down the latter or use the accessible lift. The hot tube was made of stainless steel and the jets did not really function. I will say you need a keycard for the elevator so it felt safe. The front desk staff was very accommodating in our request for a late check out though we have status. There is a full Starbucks in the lobby that you can even order ahead on the app. The hotel also seems to run a shuttle. I will say I got a special keycard due to my loyalty status but there was no apparent benefits.
