Took a two day trip out to the Pittsburgh downtown area. Found Havens Hideout ranch and wanted to give it a try! The ranch was absolutely beautiful! I have been riding for quite a while and wanted to get back into the saddle for an afternoon! The horses were beautiful and friendly! Great for beginners and experienced riders. Doug
was very friendly and made our ride very enjoyable! I would highly recommend if you are in the area! Will be back soon!

When my goddaughter asked to go horseback riding for her 18th birthday, I expected that we'd end up riding around in a circle somewhere, hopefully nearby some trees. This experience surpassed all of our expectations! Doug and his crew (and the horses) could not have been friendlier or more skilled, and we really felt like we were in good hands while having what felt like an adventurous ride in the woods! My goddaughter is already talking about going back.

If you love horseback riding, or want to try it --- don't go anywhere else in Pittsburgh! Doug is fun, and has the experience and knowledge. These are his horses. His to train and keep. If you want to feel like you are on an adventure with friends, this is the place. If you want to feel like you are the rider and not just a person sitting on top of a horse that is trained to do nose to tail, this is the place. I love horseback riding, had horses in the past and miss it terribly. However, due to not having a farm, nor the time to truly be a horse owner who boards, this is the next best thing to owning your own. I cannot say enough. The horses are wonderful to ride. You won't be sorry giving this place a try. You will fall in love with it like I did! Sure it is riding that I love, but the company you keep while riding helps too! Great for kids too!

Doug and the Team at Havens Hideout are amazing. My wife and I did the romantic dinner ride and it far exceeded our expectations. We will be back to do the hourly rides in the near future.

If you want to try horseback riding, have been on a horse and want to do it again, there is no place like Havens Hideout! It isn't just a horse knowing "I have to stay on this trail and go this way", and that you can't command the horse. This is the place where you jump on a horse, whether you are beginner/novice or know your way with the reins, and go riding in with great people. You truly feel like you are with friends not that you are just a number towing the line. You are treated as an invited guest, just riding with friends! Horses are trained to be ridden, not trained to take you on a trail. I took a two hour ride yesterday and it was the most wonderful afternoon I spent! Haven nothing but great things to say about this place. You will find me there again, I promise. I don't have land to own a horse, don't have the time dedicated to owning a horse and boarding it, so this is the best option for me. Spend the money a few times a month to enjoy something I love---it is truly like boarding and taking a ride with friends. I know I said that already.

Beautiful fall ride, could of not been a better day. Owner, Doug was very genuine and knowledgeable. We took a 2 hour long ride in all kinds of terrain, as we have prior experience riding.. Horses are well cared for and responded well to our requests. The stable has a wild west feel to it, very quaint. I would recommend it. I plan on going back next month. Not your typical trail ride. Enjoyable!

Best horseback riding place we've ever gone to! True Western experience; not nose to tail following like other places. We even added a romantic dinner in a cute cabin.
We enjoyed it so much we booked another ride the very next day. We'll definitely be back and look forward to seeing both Ryan and Doug!

Doug was so kind and the whole experience was awesome. We loved riding and talking to Doug about his experiences training horses, learning about wild mustangs, petting the horses and enjoying the scenery. Highly recommend!
