My mom moved into Heritage Woods in June and absolutely loves it there. She is suffering from dementia and we thought it might be traumatic for her to relocate. She feels very comfortable, loves to sit outside and downstairs. It is a beautiful facility and they offer amazing activities to keep her busy. The staff are very caring and engaged. I love that there is someone on staff 24 hours a day, as well as nursing staff. I love the three meals a day, plus snacks, activities, different levels of care and options for payment assistance. I highly recommend Heritage Woods.

I'm living here for 2 years. I moved in on January 17 2022. I love living here. Great staff and CNA's and kitchen and dinning staff are very knowledgeable. Lots of activities. Management is very helpful. I highly recommend Heritage Woods of Rockford Assisted Living facility of Rockford Illinois.

Heritage Woods has been a great place for my mom these past 7 years. The staff is so helpful and caring and we feel she has been well looked after and secure. I especially love the Resident Service Coordinator, Shannon Webster who has gone above and beyond to look after mom and been so helpful to our family in so many ways. I would recommend Heritage Woods as a living facility for your loved ones.

I have been the activity director here for 6 years, I honestly feel that this is the BEST affordable assistant living community in the area! Everyone works hard to provide an active healthy community for our residents, we are one big family! It gives us all great joy to make our residents happy! I would highly recommend Heritage Woods of Rockford to all my friends and family members.

Our family is very happy with our father’s care from the nursing staff (as needed), the individualized attention to involve him in a variety of activities, and guidance from the administrative staff re: financial aspects during his transition to Heritage Woods five months ago. Downsizing to smaller accommodations is always an adjustment, and he now seems content with the ease of his new lifestyle. He looks forward to mealtime in the Dining Room as an opportunity to share common interests with others while eating. As expected, there was an adjustment period of a few months, but he is now participating in activities that interest him. He particularly enjoyed the Rockford Christian Fellowship Band playing at the facility and the outing to the Veteran’s Memorial Hall. The activity opportunities are wonderful; having a van provided by the facility is a big plus. Thank you, Heritage Woods staff, for all you continue to do for the residents!

They won't even lift your loved one off the ground. Not with a strap, a hydraulic lift, not a "big man". They just call 911. Because it's cheaper for them. But it's ridiculous to have taxpayers pay thousands upon thousands each time a patient falls on the ground
They could lift them, the patients are embarrassed to call 911, but the CEO Julie Simpkins says it's cheaper to have 911 do it for them. So lazy, so greedy. Julie makes our society worse off. Go somewhere else where your loved ones aren't stuck on the ground because some monopoly man of a woman is busy counting pennies.

My mother has been at Heritage Woods for over 4 year. I have no worries about how she is treated there. She has lots of friends and the staff is friendly and caring. Lots of activities and mom loves it there. 90 never looked so good.

My mom has been a ResidentAy Heritage Woods in Rockford for approximately three years now, I’m a native of Rockford and a volunteer in the community. My volunteer work has me in and out of facilities like Heritage Woods of Rockford. Nothing comes close to Heritage Woods of Rockford and it’s not just the beauty of the inside and outside of the building, (which is beyond compare in our market) It’s the people. Shannon the activity director pours herself into her job every single day. The back of the house is extremely organized with Michelle at the helm. The head chef ( who is always smiling)is crazy talented ( my mom was a fabulous cook her whole life, and enjoys every meal she has there in the gorgeous dinning room. Patty runs the front of the front of the house and knows each resident by name, including the glasses they wear, so should I get misplaced Patty can return them to the proper owner 🙂

The CNA’s, and there are so many and I’m talking on any given shift there are ample CNAs to take care of all of the residents, are delightful. It’s easy to tell they want to be there

My mom has everything she wants and needs, and it gives her a sense of well-being knowing she can live independently and securely. That wouldn’t be possible without Heritage Woods of Rockford
We put my mom on a waiting list to get in to Heritage Woods of Rockford, and we learned very quickly after we moved her in that the statement , “Good things come to those who wait” is true
