I'm disabled and my husband and I needed a one night getaway. So we reserved an accessible room with The Hilton Garden Inn. The room was impressive and widely accessible. It had plenty of space in the main room with a small adjoining toilet room. A desk in that area would have been quite useful. The bedroom had accessible double doors, closet, master bath with jacuzzi tub, and a separate shower with fold away seating. There's a phone in the master bath for emergencies, which I think, even though so might find out dated, is actually good to have.
My biggest complaints are some non-accessible issues. First was that I needed to remove the nightlight in the bathroom in order to use the hair dryer and had I been wheelchair bound I would not have been able to reach and do that on my own since the outlet would have been out of reach. Also, the coffee maker would have been out of reach. Yes, they do have coffee service in the lobby, BUT sometimes when one is staying at a hotel, they may not want to have to get themselves suitable for a foray into the foyer. The sink also would have been difficult to use in the master bath because it was too high. The shower head should be lowered with each room cleaning to ensure that someone in a wheelchair visiting while alone would be able to reach it.
We only stayed one night and didn't use any of the other amenities, but I will commend the staff on their kindness and verification of checking on our needs during check-in. I felt comfortable and welcome, which is always a plus.
I would absolutely use this hotel again and recommend it to anyone seeking an accessible room. Just keep in mind the minor issues and prepare in advance, and you should be happy with your stay.

Bathroom floor dirty, grimy and can be cleaned. It is not stain from past. Towels rough. Food and a drink left in fridge. Bed very hard and uncomfortable. I had trouble sleeping. I don't have trouble in other places. Pillows old, not comfortable. We didn't have room service the next day. We stayed 3 nights. When I called desk they said they should have told us. We needed clean towels and sheets. My side of bed had dirt stain, which I wanted changed. You need to request for maid service each day you stay, which I didn't know. I requested after that. Pool small and no hot tub, which I wanted and needed for the activity , which was the reason I was there. Price too high for the lack of service and dirty floor & rough towels. The desk associates were super nice, in evening and morning, I will give this positive. I expected more from a so called superb chain.

We stayed here overnight while visiting family around the Thanksgiving holiday. Our room was very nice, and the bed was comfortable, although we didn't care for their pillows. The hotel has a bar and an onsite restaurant, as well as a store for anything you might need during your stay. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Positive: The front desk staff are very helpful and accommodating, the hotel is updated and clean and rooms are quiet. I asked for a particular room (quiet) and they found a great room for us. Negative: ""

Pros||Proximity to stores and malls |No fuss hotel ||Cons||House keeping is 8 am to 4 pm only |If you need anything you need to get it yourself from the front desk|If you are a gold member per day $10 food and beverages credit has to be asked and not offered by default |The lady on reception is not exactly helpful |They are dingy with water bottles and a 40 cent bottle is sold for $2.||Tips||Always ask for front facing rooms, the back facing ones faces a building, effectively blocking the window. ||Body lotion is not provided by default. You need to go to the reception and get it yourself. However if there is a lady on reception chances are she probably will refuse it flatly. ||If you need plates and cutlery, go and ask from the restaurant. They will give you paper plates and cutlery without any fuss. And there are no charges for it. ||For gold members if you don’t take $10 credit then you are offered 759 points for the whole stay which exactly are worth nothing. ||If breakfast is offered for free or complementary, do ensure they put it in the notes under your reservation. Else you will end up haggling with the front desk. ||Breakfast is $15 per person, which I don’t think is worth the money. It only has basic food items. There are nice eateries nearby to have a better breakfast.

Stayed overnight to be closer to doctors office and an early morning appointment. Staff was courteous and helpful. Breakfast was really well done with hot and several cold options.

Positive: The bartender on New Year?s Eve was excellent! Negative: Grout in washroom was dirty, toilet would not flush properly and breakfast ends at 9:00 . It was New Year?s Eve and we slept late and when we woke up at 8:50 we were told we had ten minutes to eat.

We had a reservation at the Tru Hilton close by but Candace was so rude from the second we walked in. Denied us a room due to us because we questioned her about the rate (we had a discounted rate that she refused to honor). Came to Hilton Garden, we were met by Brian who was friendly, welcoming and informed us many people arrived here after having horrible experiences at Tru. Thanks Brian!
