Historic Shady Lane was the perfect wedding venue for us! It was an absolute lifesaver that we had access to all parts of the venue all day long. There was enough space on the property for everyone to have a place to hang out until it was time for the ceremony. They were prompt with communication and worked seamlessly with us and all of our vendors. Access to the property for an engagement photoshoot was included (although we didn't use it, it was a nice option to have). There was plenty of parking and the staff was incredible not only on the day of the wedding, but every day leading up to it! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there are a ton of places to get different types of photos. All of our guests were in awe of the beauty (a dreary, rainy day still looked stunning!). Compared to other venues, what we had access to on the day of was a wonderful value and cost effective for us. I would highly recommend HSL!

From the moment we first toured Historic Shady Lane, my now-husband and I knew we had found the venue of our dreams ✨✨ The estate is a true vision of beauty, with perfectly kept grounds and an array of stunning ceremony locations. Each spot we visited was more enchanting than the last, but the Rose Garden stole our hearts with its sheer magic!

Caitlyn, the venue director, and the entire HSL team went above and beyond to make our day perfect! Caitlyn’s dedication and support throughout the entire process were invaluable, ensuring we felt cherished and well-cared-for every step of the way.

At the property’s center is a gorgeous greenhouse that served as the ideal backdrop for photos and the designated location for cocktail hour. The reception tent was complemented by a refreshing breeze that our guests adored. The unlimited golf cart rides made for a seamless and comfortable event for everyone involved.

Having the bridal cottage on the property was a game-changer for our wedding day. The all-day access made for a truly easygoing experience, allowing us to relax and prepare without feeling rushed. The groomsmen den was equally impressive, providing a dedicated space for the groom and his party to unwind and bond.

Every detail of HSL feels like a page out of a fairytale. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical, and we would relive this day a hundred times over if we could!!! We are deeply grateful for the unforgettable experience Historic Shady Lane provided 🤍🤍🤍✨

Historic Shady Lane was a dream come true for our wedding venue! It was everything we could have hoped it would be and more!!
The bridal and groom suite were the perfect spot for us to get ready the morning of our wedding. We were even able to have our dog Maggie with us all day which made it that much more special.
The greenery of the venue was the perfect backdrop! The reception tent is simple, clean and elegant. The greenhouse is absolutely stunning especially at night with the bistro lights all lit up and it was such a good spot for cocktail hour. Our guests loved it!
Caitlyn and the entire HSL staff were wonderful to work with! The entire list of vendors we worked with came recommended from HSL as well and I felt like we had the dream team of vendors! Caitlyn was always available to answer every single question I had before our wedding and was very accommodating with our walk through and rehearsal. The staff was also readily available the entire night of our wedding riding guests around on the golf cart to and from their vehicles.
I cannot recommend this venue enough!! We love HSL and it will always have such a special place in our hearts! : )

We got married at Historic Shady Lane this July and it was the best experience we could have ever asked for! It truly was the most picturesque day at the location of our dreams.

HSL was actually the first and only venue we toured. We chose it immediately after our tour with their Venue Director, Caitlyn, because it was the most gorgeous place and had everything we wanted for our special day. (Note: We also toured the venue in December, their off-season, which says a lot considering nothing was even in bloom yet and the foliage was limited! It was still that stunning.) The grounds are extremely well kept and it’s clear that a ton of work and love go into making it perfect for each couple’s day. We chose to get married in front of the greenhouse (although there were so many gorgeous ceremony locations to choose from), had our cocktail hour in and around the greenhouse, and had our reception in the tent. The proximity of everything made it very convenient for us and our guests.

When it came to the planning and logistics, HSL had so much included and Caitlyn was a dream to work with! One of our favorite parts of the venue was the fact that there were getting-ready suites for each of us and our wedding parties. It made it so our entire day was spent at HSL and there was no back and forth to other locations. The ladies brought breakfast to the cottage and spent the morning getting ready—there was so much space (all beautifully decorated!) for everyone to get ready, jam to music, and spend some time together. The men also had a great time in the den playing foosball and hanging out before the ceremony. HSL had plenty of large golf carts on-site to help both us and guests navigate the grounds and get where we needed to quickly and comfortably.

The day of was so much less stressful than we expected because everything was in place and planned to perfection by both our wedding planner (Events by Gillian & Co.) and the HSL team. All of the moving pieces were handled and we felt extremely taken care of. During and after the wedding, our guests were raving about how beautiful the venue was and said that the wedding felt like it was out of a fairytale. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and would do it all over again at HSL if we could!

Having our wedding at Historic Shady Lane was hands down the best choice for our big day!!! What an incredible team HSL has. I always felt so supported and taken care of by Caitlyn. The grounds are beautiful, and to have a venue where the rain plan is just as, if not more, stunning than the original plan is SO rare. The candlelit garden party wedding I have been dreaming about for so long was 100% brought to life at HSL, rain and all! People are still raving about the venue, team, and smooth-ness of our wedding and I will forever be grateful we were a HSL couple!

Our wedding day was absolutely incredible. The venue was everything we ever dreamed it could be; whimsical, green, lush, expansive and versatile. Everything was well kept from the cottage where we got ready, to the grounds, greenhouse and reception tent. Our guests kept commenting how incredibly beautiful our venue was and we couldn’t agree more! The staff and Caitlyn, the director, were friendly, accessible and always there when you needed them. So thankful we were able to have our wedding at Historic Shady Lane.

We LOVE events at Historic Shady Lane! This venue is such a stunning backdrop to so many diverse events. Couples can really express themselves through the design in a venue that provides gorgeous natural elements but is also a neutral canvas to create in! The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating!
