The woman that “helped” me at the counter was extremely rude to me as I was a first time visitor to this store. I was extremely excited to speak some local RC enthusiasts as I am fairly new to the hobby. I went to this store to spend a large amount of money on a new RC drift car kit as well as as many accessories as I could get my hands on since I am a drift car enthusiast as well. Upon asking my first question to the self proclaimed “owner” of the store I was immediately scoffed at and told that no one uses RC drift cars anymore and that the only RC related cars are crawlers now. I know how inaccurate this statement is due to the high demand for drift car kits and parts online as well as the ever growing RC drift culture in our own state of Delaware. I was completely blown away at the fact that this woman didn’t even want to help me and completely ruined my first experience at a RC hobby store. At the end of our short and terrible interaction, the woman behind the counter said they were closing shop and moving to Florida. After speaking to a few friends about this first interaction with this woman and store, I found out that many people have been told that the store is closing so that the customer does not return to their store. I honestly believe this after the interaction that I had at this location. I will never go back to this hole in the wall because of the ignorance of the owner. Luckily, just one day later I went to First State Hobbies where I was welcomed with open arms and more help and positivity from their staff than you can imagine from a retail store of any kind. This at least restored some hope that there are good people in the local RC community that do want to help new comers. FSH has a state of the art drift track as well which apparently doesn’t exist if you ask the owner of this terrible shop. Do not support this store at all! Learn some manners! You lost a sale of over $1,000 in one transaction and a lifetime of my loyalty. You’re response is extremely disrespectful and your wife is a liar. I would never go out of my way to write this review if this interaction never happened. You were not there at the time of my experience to even speak on this matter. The size of you’re terrible store has nothing to do with the lack of respect or help at all. I found First State Hobbies on my own with zero help from you’re manager or store. I really wish you hadn’t responded in this way but I completely see why. Don’t worry neither I or any person I tell about your ridiculous antics will ever step foot in that establishment ever again. Have fun in Florida, Florida man!

Unfortunately I had the same experience as Jason. I was a first time buyer of my car......came in to get just a few parts. I even brought my car in. So I bought the parts I needed. Plus some more. We'll the additional parts I purchased were not for my car. Little did I know I was not able to receive my money back. I was forced to get STORE CREDIT. I'm not saying they weren't nice people. But as a first time customer. I just had no idea what was going on....so with that said I just got another car and got out of there. Just wish I had the knowledge beforehand. Oh well.

I absolutely LOVE this store and it's staff. You walk in with any questions and the manager will answer it. She is very knowledgeable. The bear location is just as pleasant and helpful. I recommend coming to either location for any help or future purchases!
