Holiday Inn Express Crystal River, an IHG Hotel - Crystal River, Florida

We stayed at this property for 2 nights. Originally, we planned to stay just one but loved the location, room and pleasant staff so much we booked an additional night.

We did change rooms and both rooms were very clean and comfortable.

There was a new breakfast hostess that was in training (sorry but did not get her name). She was friendly and attentive. She did a great job of keeping up with the breakfast and still made it a point to chat with the guests.

Every front desk person we encountered were friendly and attentive.

Every housekeeper we came in contact with were friendly and wished us a good morning!

You are doing a great job at this property with Customer Service and Cleanliness!

All Staff was awesome! Rooms were modern, clean and smelled great. Breakfast was good too, nice selection of pastries, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereals, juice. Coffee was available all day. We took our two well behaved dogs and they loved it too. There is a large dog area. We could not have been more pleased. Thank you all for a wonderful and pleasant stay, and making us feel like family.

This hotel is an excellent choice if you plan to stay in the Crystal River area...it's not cheap, but the prices are better than other equal quality hotels...the rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. We stayed for a week so we didn't need constant housekeeping service, but they were wonderful in giving us supplies we asked for every few days...

Only 2 negative issues during our stay...

this hotel property has signs saying it is a smoke free property, but to get to your vehicle in the parking lot, you have to run the gamut of smokers outside the front entrance, and I do mean more than one...it was not a pleasant experience, but it was a smelly one...

Also, breakfast options are limited, where we finally gave up trying it...they are many local breakfast options, and not just fast food options, that were wonderful...check them out...

Our last day, the juice machine was out of order...I get it, machines break down...would it have been too difficult to go to a local store and purchase a half gallon of juice to put in a pitcher, so we could at least have some orange juice on our last day in Florida?

Finally, even with the 2 hiccups, I recommend this hotel to anyone looking forward to checking out the manatees nearby, as well as other places in this nice part of Florida...

This is a nice place to stay. The room was clean, housekeeping was on point. The staff, however, were what really made this stay enjoyable. They were very friendly and engaging. The staff were happy to help with local places to eat and see the scenery.

This is a great hotel. Close to all major attractions . Very large rooms with extra tall ceilings . Newly remodeled with very comfortable beds . Fantastic breakfast with lots of variety including bacon. Very good biscuits and gravy too! Highly recommend !

I was very disappointed with our stay. We are Dimond guests so Holiday Inn Express is were we choose to stay when traveling.
Unfortunately our stay here was not great at all. Our room on 4th floor had crumbs on the floor and tube wasn't cleaned. We stayed for 2 days and paid $580. We did not get any room service at all. No clean towels, no one took the trash out or vacuumed the floors in room. Also found several bugs around the bedframe. I tried telling them at the front desk before we left but they Said the manager wasn't there. I called the 1-800 and couldn't reach anyone. I am very disappointed because Holiday inn never disappoints until this trip.

It is a great place, clean and good family atmosphere! Friendly staff and good location!
We are a family of 7 with 2 toddlers and the staff was amazing with my kids! They gave out little goody bags to them at breakfast. They had ornaments for them to decorate and put on the tree they had. My 9 year old told a few people how nice the woman at breakfast was.

The woman that checked us in, (I think Deidre?) was fantastic! Friendly and efficient and gave us a fabulous dinner recommendation. We were in town to swim with manatees and she gave very good directions to our event. Breakfast was good, our room was clean, the hotel was attractive, and we appreciated the cinnamon rolls. Let’s face it, the best part of Holiday Inn Express is the cinnamon rolls.
