Excellent location near the highway and plenty of shops and restaurants. Very friendly staff, very attentive. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room, hallways, eating area and lobby were all clean and updated. Breakfast choices were great and the food was very good. This is our second time staying here and we will definitely be back.

I have been at this hotel many times. It is on my way to visit family in Maine. I have stayed here 4 times a year for the last 7 years. I have requested, and never gotten an upgraded room, even though I am supposed to get one. I am always told the are fully booked. I know that that is not always the truth.

At every Holiday Inn Express I stay at, I get bottled water as a welcome gift, because of my level with IHG. I have never gotten that at this Holiday Inn Express.

During my last visit, I have to add, that the breakfast was horrible, and I think we both got some sort of food poisoning.

We recently stayed there for 3 nights for a volleyball tournament. I asked the staff to clean our room, but no one ever cleaned it during the duration of our stay. I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 stars because they have a decent breakfast and the location is good.

I have stayed at this location in the past and it was just ok. Since my last stay, they have redone the parking lot and the grounds. It looks great. In doors, it seems like a whole new place. It is very clean. The receptionist and all employees are very nice and pleasant to talk to.

Besides the mattress and pillows being comfortable, I liked the linen...it was fresh. I like the Dove shower dispensers in the bathroom and the shower had good pressure. We enjoyed the chaise lounge and there was plenty of room in the closet for our belongings. We appreciated the filtered water in the lobby and refilled our water bottles before our hike. Also, with the information provided by the flyer display in the lobby, we made a plan as how to spend the following day as we had not made definite plans as how to spend our time.

Stayed at this hotel following a dinner trip. Very convenient location. Nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast provided but we didn't use as we were in hurry. Overall very nice place

I love this hotel. It fits the needs of our family perfectly. This is our second time in 2 years staying there. My only complaint is not having an exhaust fan in the bathrooms. It makes it hard to dry off after showering. Otherwise, it is a great choice. Comfortable beds and pillows.

The room as well as the hallways and lobby were somewhat shabby with a worn appearance as if it's not being kept up. One of the lampshades in our room was taped together, the outlet in the bathroom was loose, missing grout, lots of chipped paint, etc. The bed was OK but a big saggy. In spite of being a rewards club member, we were given the smallest room next to the stairwell. Finally, and worst of all, the hotel added a charge without telling us and which was not listed on the bill. When I called they said it was a deposit that would be removed from the bill "in 72 business hours" so I will have to check my credit card account to make sure it is removed. This charge was not made known to us when we checked in or when we left and when we stayed here previously there was no charge like this. We believe it is deceitful business practice and we will not return to this hotel. We recently stayed in a different Holiday Inn Express which was great, and were really disappointed in what we experienced in this one in Southington, CT. I definitely do not recommend it.
