Meh experience. The rooms are great, the coffee machines are great! However the staff either don't like their jobs or didn't like us. I talked to four separate employees and couldn't even get a greeting. I went to check in and got less than 10 words. "Reservation? ID? Here's your card". And that's about it. Completely ignored me saying hello and asking how she was. But whatever, everyone has a bad day. But then we go downstairs and I get the same thing from the breakfast staff and the checkout staff. To the point they look me straight in the eyes as I greet them and they just ignore me and walk away. I'm not sure if they were nervous we had a service dog, didn't like that we didn't have a service dog, didn't like us, have all had a bad day, etc. but this is not at all the quality I've come to expect from IHG after spending the majority of the last two years in their hotels as I travel for work. We had a similar experience last week on our way to work as we did today on the way back and I chalked it up to some days at your job just suck. But two experiences in a row within a week? I don't want to call anyone out on blast, but this location either needs to look into the needs of their employees or maybe enact paid training to help educate or even offer incentives to increase moral? Because if I'm going to come in from a long day at work and be treated like my existence is inconvenient I'll just go to Hilton and save $50.

Very easy to find, was very clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was absolutely amazing. I've worked at different hotels over the years and I'd say this hotel was definitely nice. I like how they have the soaps and lotions. Good way to not waste.

My wife and I were driving cross country and after a long day of driving we selected this Holliday Inn based off the reviews. The hotel was under some renovations, but our stay was outstanding. The room was clean, and the amenities were excellent. The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was very good. What really stood out was the staff. Especially Courtney at the front desk. She was extremely pleasant and friendly. Just what you need after a long day on the road. We can’t say enough good things about her.

I am a long-time IHG patron. I have been using Holiday Inn Express for years. This property is average, although I thought the breakfast at this one was a couple of notches above most Holiday Inn Express establishments in that the staff took more care in preparing the food. It looked good and was tasty.

Stayed here overnight with my family on a cross country trip. Experience was a mix of good and bad. I’ll list both

Pros:

Extremely convenient. Right next to the interstate and easy to find. The room was clean. I mean absolutely spotless. The beds were comfy and we slept well. Very quiet, since it was a full house that night, judging by how full the parking lot was. And the breakfast was great. Coffee was exceptionally good. And the room price was reasonable for a decent hotel in a safe area

Cons

We checked in at 10:30 after a hard days driving. Front desk staff weren’t very friendly.
Not exactly rude, but not very welcoming. The room was booked for 4 people, but only had three sets of towels. That’s happened to me at other hotels as well. I don’t get it. If it’s a room designed to sleep four, you put in four sets of towels. That’s a no brainer. When I went down at 11pm to get another towel the front desk staff were a little put off by the request. I guess I interrupted their TV and gossip time. There was also only a partial almost empty roll of toilet paper. Had to ask for that too. The tub drained very slowly. That would be an easy fix with a little Drano. And in the morning the housekeeping staff sat outside the front entrance for a few minutes, smoking, chatting and dropping f bombs in every sentence. I’ve worked plenty of blue collar jobs in my life. I know how jobs like that are, but just go behind the building to do that, away from where people are going in and out with their children. It’s a little unprofessional.

All in all, it’s a decent place for a one night stay. But with a few simple inexpensive changes it could be an excellent place.

Great customer service, clean rooms, great bed, got in late, tired from traveling all day, and just needed some good sleep as I had to drive another 11 hours to Corpus Christi TX, the next day. The bed was so comfortable I remember laying down and then nothing until 930AM the next morning. I haven't slept that well in a long time. Exactly what I needed to prepare for a whole day of driving. If I had to put something as a bad circumstance, it would only be that the bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get up and go, I wanted to pay for another night and just stay asleep! Thank you! I will stay again if I'm ever out that way!

Price much too high! $245.00 /ONE NIGHT. no coffee in room.
Friendly and honest staff. My wife dropped her small bag with a large sum of money. It was found by an employee and returned to my wife when she asked the lady at the check-in counter. Thank you very much.

This location is great. Granted they were under a little bit of construction, but it was all good. The complimentary breakfast was good and housekeeping was spot on. I wish we could have been in Forrest City for different circumstances but if you need a quick stop just to get off of the road I definitely recommend.
