I was in Johnstown for business. This hotel was very clean from the outside to everywhere inside. The beds were comfortable. There is a nice big desk for working or to put your items on. The bathroom is very large and has shampoo, conditioner & body wash in case you forget yours. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

My kids, my sisters and I were visiting for the weekend. I am from the area originally and had seen this hotel before but it's in a weird location - across the street from a Big Lots and a Sheetz -- which did end up working in our favor if you want something -- also 1 grocery store, a bar and a beer supplier -- right next door. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I will stay in this hotel again - I only get to the area occasionally but I will choose this hotel first. Clean, the staff are nice, the breakfast was fresh (the automatic pancake maker was a hit with my kids). Coffee was good - they even had pints of chocolate milk for my kids. It was quiet and our rooms were a good size (suite). I liked the Dove products in the bathroom and it was decorated nicely for Christmas. Parking was ample. A really good place to stay. It is kept up very nicely.

This Holiday Inn Express was wonderful to stay at for a short trip to Johnstown. The staff were friendly and the room was VERY clean. My standard king room was spacious, had microwave/fridge, and had great lighting options. I loved the modern and colorful Holiday Inn Express decor and furniture design. Well done!!!

An excellent hotel all around. I had visited and stayed at this hotel a few years back, when it was even newer. I'm happy to say that it and still an excellent experience. It's brand new, very modern, and doesn't show any signs of wear. The staff is excellent, helpful, and the rooms are very clean. It is a little bit expensive, but for the price you get a brand new hotel with great amenities and a good location. Highly recommend this hotel!

Booked this hotel at the last minute as I need a place to stay to visit family experiencing a health emergency. Booked for four nights then extended for another four nights. This hotel was much better than the other hotel nearby that I stayed in five months earlier.

If all Holiday Inns are like this one, I am a new convert! Fabulous room with many modern updates. Built-in night light, modern temperature controls, spacious counters, comfortable beds, instant hot water, choice of soft or firm pillows.. Breakfast was good too with choices for everyone. Excellent wifi. I loved this hotel!

When I visit my home town I always stay at this holiday inn express. All of the employees make me feel welcome and special! Connie from housekeeping does a fantastic job and the room is always squeaky clean. The breakfast staff makes sure everything is clean and plentiful and the staff at the front desk has time to chat and give me updates on my home town.

Johnstown is among the American cities with the richest history! This property is wonderful and located in the heart of it. In the character of an old industrial city in the Twenty-first century, metropolitan Johnstown has about 200,000 people within 25 miles of it, but only the poorest 10% actually live in the old city. Indeed, this hotel is centrally located in bustling Richland Township, but about 10 miles from there.

If you aren't from Pennsylvania, visiting the old city is essential, not because it is beautiful (it is pretty run down), but since it is an unvarnished glimpse at how a 19th. century manufacturing town was laid out. At least two open gems though: George's Song Shop on Market Street specializes in old vinyl and is the oldest, continuously operated music store, in the US. (1934). Also, Coney Island Lunch on Clinton Street is delightfully unhealthy (burgers, dogs, and mountains of chili). As with anywhere you go in Johnstown, the staff will do anything for you, and the place is amazingly affordable.

The Incline Plane is the most significant tourist spot in Johnstown, even though it is in a remote location on the other end of town. (About 15 miles from the hotel.) There is little to no lodging anywhere near it. You can usually ride it and even take your vehicle with you from the old city to the Westmont Mountain top. Asiago's Italian Kitchen is at the peak, has panoramic views of the region, is delicious, and quite affordable. Unfortunately, the plane itself has been temporarily closed.

This hotel has been recently rehabbed, and it's obvious. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and the hotel has all common amenities.

As I implied earlier in this review, you have to look pretty hard in Johnstown to find rude, and unhelpful people, and you certainly aren't going to find them among the hotel staff!
