Elizabeth at the front desk was fabulous! She helped my husband and I get a confusing room reservation solved and she did it with the utmost professionalism. All the staff were friendly attentive and ready to help us with any needs we had. highly recommend this hotel

Beautiful hotel! The rooms are spacious and furnished with very contemporary furniture, not the standard outdated looking hotel furniture. The lobby and dining area are beautiful as well. Front desk personnel were courteous and professional. The bathroom is spacious. I hope in the future they will install walk in showers with glass doors and removable shower handles. Great location where restaurants are in walking distance from the hotel. I can't speak on the pool because I did not use it, but hopefully it was heated. This will be my new go to hotel when I visit family again. Highly recommend!!

My review is based on my experience in late May in which I checked in on Friday and departed on Sunday. I chose this hotel since it was newer and part of a major chain, I stayed in the others and found the cleaning standards to be lacking so I was excited about a new hotel (2yrs old) now in Thomasville. From first entrance everything looks nice, got to my room all was good. Once I went into the bathroom, I noticed the shower floor was brown. What a disappointment, why are cleaning standards so low in the hotels in this area. It wasn’t at the standard of a typical IHG hotel. Looking past that the bed was comfortable and the rest of the room was clean. Breakfast in the morning was good and staff friendly. I went out for the day and returned in the evening. I stopped by the front desk to say I would be departing very early the next morning and if I could go ahead and settle the bill. Since it was a short trip I wanted to use cash but was told they wasn’t allowed to take cash and no manager was around to take it (WHAT). I told the clerk (who was nice) not to do anything that would get her in trouble. I went up to my room to find the door sensor did not work. The front desk clerk tried to get me in with her master key but couldn’t. She also mentioned that maintenance wasn’t available (it was Saturday evening), when I finally got in the room I see it was never cleaned. Since it was now dark and I was departing around 4am I said forget it, I will just report it in the morning. As I checked out I mentioned that my room was never cleaned and was treated as if it was my fault by the clerk. Did I put a do not disturb sign on the door or something. How about your cleaning staff most likely couldn’t get in the room because of the sensor and failed to report it…train the staff to do better! I explained I departed around 9am and didn’t return until around 6pm. All I was told was we will investigate it. I asked if I can get some type of compensation like points and was told only the manager could do that. It’s 4:30am, again no manager around. Why have these rules if a manager is not going to be around, train your staff. I travel around the world and stay in international IHG hotels, this is not what I expected from a IHG hotel. Very disappointed for such a short trip.

I stayed at this hotel due to working in the area for separate short periods of time. Last week, I stayed and it was fantastic. This week, I didn't have hot water when I got ready for work. I get ready at 3:45am so not exactly a great time to call for maintenance. I reported it to the front desk & when I got back from work, it was fixed; however, starting my day with an ice cold shower was not too enjoyable. The second issue I have experienced was the smell of the room after coming back from work today. It smelled like mop water that had soured. It's relatively late in the evening and I have another early morning tomorrow so it's not worth the effort to complain/wait for a resolution. Again, not a positive experience. I have another trip to book with the hotel and hope to have a better experience. It was not bad enough to change hotels immediately, but I definitely will if the next experience doesn't improve.
Positives of the stays include quick check-in, friendly staff, quiet environment, and comfortable beds. All of these aspects are super important to me, so I am willing to give it one more try!

Very nice Holiday Inn. Big modern rooms. Weekday night front desk guy Willy is awesome - friendly and professional and fun to talk to. The free breakfast is very good and kept up well by the staff over the morning. Both days I stayed here all the staff I interacted with was great. Hot water went out one night so I had to shave with cold water before going out. Walls are pretty thin so if you hear someone being loud switch rooms right away because you'll be hearing them all night. AC is very loud but I did appreciate that it drowned out the noise from the people next door. Room service leaves fresh towels in a pile instead of hanging them, didn't make my bed between night 1 and 2 and there was someone else's razor guard in my bathtub when I got there. I would go back.

The accommodations at this hotel are very good. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The decor throughout the hotel was appealing. The lobby area provided a great place to meet with family members. The self serve breakfast provided by the hotel was pretty good and there was a variety of items to choose from. The only concern from my viewpoint was the hotel charging my credit card for the two-night stay with an incidental fee well in advance of the check in time for the stay. The incidental fee I was informed would be refunded back within 7 to 15 days after the stay.

Since we travel alot to see family in the area, It was nice to stay in a more updated hotel that was a good ways away from a city. It was very quiet and relaxing. The staff was friendly and breakfast was really good. Especially the cinnamon rolls and oatmeal. The pool was nice to sit by even on a sunny March day. I haven't been to a hotel that used Dove products but this Holiday Inn does which helps people like me with sensitive skin. Great experience.

Hot water is off and on. The rooms are not clean. Every room I've stayed in had hair in the bathroom. The shelf's in the shower are broke off. The air conditioner makes noises and the thermostat on the wall doesn't work. I've stayed in more than one room and they all have had the same problem
