I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The downtown area is a bit run down but this hotel was actually pretty nice and well maintained. Our room was in very good condition and clean. We were able to get a good night of sleep although our beds were fulls and not queens so it was a little cramped. The rooms were a nice size and the adjacent parking garage was convenient. We had breakfast at the restaurant and the quality was good and pricing was very reasonable. We were frustrated that it was not communicated that the pool was closed before we arrived, it would have made our stay even better.

I've stayed at this hotel many times over the past several years. The front desk and restaurant staff are always friendly. I typically purchase breakfast coupons with my room reservation. I really appreciate the opportunity to have a fresh cooked breakfast in the hotel restaurant before heading out for a full days work. I've compared the room rate with other hotels in the area. The rates are competitive for a one or two night stay. The indoor pool, whirlpool and fitness room are clean and maintained.

The hotel is currently being remodeled. It looks like they're doing it floor by floor. So far, the remodel has not interfered with any of my stays.

The hotel is located near main routes into and out of the Johnstown area. In addition to the hotel restaurant, there are several restaurants, bars and grocery stores in the area.

Overall the hotel seems run down. I stayed there about a year ago but it has gone downhill since. Everything from check in to good quality was not good. I wanted a brandy Manhattan at the bar but they did not have any brandy. Room needs much better lighting especially the bathroom. I don’t like showers with short curtains. Room needs a comfortable chair for reading or tv watching. linens were good.

We were greeted with a very friendly check-in! It made a great impression on us. The hotel is nothing too fancy, but everything was clean and our room had been recently renovated. I usually don't check out at a hotel, but I went to the desk to check out and there was another great person at the desk. A+ for service!

We had a great stay for my birthday! The room was clean, the bathroom seemed like it had been updated, it was nice and modern, and the water pressure was great. The bed was very comfortable, and my husband and I slept well. We also ate at the restaurant; the food and the value were excellent. I would recommend this hotel!

Stayed for a competition and was immediately disappointed upon checkin to learn the pool was closed for maintenance for the whole weekend, which also meant the fitness center was closed. All adults had to sign a paper waiver with additional rules about our kids and the possibility of running out of hot water. The water was luke warm at best at 6 am! The vibe overall was unwelcoming. Would not recommend other than it was close to the venue.

We only stayed here for one night, and we're glad it wasn't more. When we arrived a little after 4 PM, we found out our room wasn't ready yet, even though check-in time is supposed to be at 3 PM. We didn't get a call that our room was ready until 5:50 PM. While the front desk staff was very friendly and apologetic, this should never happen in a hotel. We've stayed at literally hundreds of hotels over the years, and no hotel has ever had an issue with getting a room ready for its guests by check-in time. I was told the issue was due to short staffing with housekeeping, but honestly, that is a management issue. It means they either aren't paying enough to keep the staff they need or, if someone called out sick unexpectedly, they had no plan in place to get things done. Really, at that point, management should've been in the room cleaning them to get it ready for guests.

Once we did get into the room, we found that only one towel was there. The tissue box only had 3 tissues left in it and the TP was very low. The room felt very run down. The ceiling clearly had work done on it, but wasn't properly patched. The walls had tears in them. There were not nearly enough outlets by the bed, which in 2025 is inexcusable. The HVAC system was very old-fashioned and just made the room go between being hot and cold. The flooring under the carpet was very uneven. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was not functional. The walls were extremely thin (you can even clearly hear your neighbors flush their toilet). The shower head was very low as I had to duck to get under it at only 5'9", along with some very weak water pressure.

As for the good parts of this hotel, it did have a good location downtown. The housekeeping did have the room clean. The bed was comfortable.

I think this hotel definitely needs a change of management and a full renovation (not just some new paint) to get this to be a place that could be recommended.

Last night we staying in this hotel because our newborn daughter was in the NICU at the nearby hospital, and this hotel partnered with the Ronald McDonald foundation to gift us a room for the night to be closer to our baby. My wife was quite distressed to be separated from our daughter, and was visibly distraught. Upon walking into the hotel the front desk receptionist, Holly, greeted us with genuine warmth and enthusiasm. The first thing I noted was her upbeat and pleasant attitude, and, second, that she knew both of the two gentlemen checking in behind us by name, and greeted them personally. Upon seeing the room voucher and my wife's distress, she immediately started comforting us and went above and beyond to reassure us and help us feel comfortable. She was very gentle and caring, and was the most pleasant hotel staff member I have ever interacted with. She has a passion for people, and is exactly the kind of person you want taking care of customers. She deserves recognition and want her managers to know the difference she makes.

Also, the hotel was very clean and quiet, and the rooms were cleaned well and comfortable.
