Stayed at this location during a business trip to the greater Miami area and frankly couldn't be more pleased with the stay. First off, the best thing about this stay has been the customer service, starting with the lady at the front desk, Virginia. She is without a doubt one of the nicest ladies you could ever hope to meet, especially after a trying day of travel. Absolutely phenomenal service. I also had wonderful interactions with other employees at this location that have made the stay worth coming back if I am in the area again. Room was nice too, very clean and comfortable to relax in as well as get some work done in between meetings in the area. Definitely recommended if looking for a place north of the airport. Cheers!

DO NOT BOOK this place is truly absolutely disgusting. Although the price is ok it is 10000% worth spending a bit more for a cleaner place and overall better hotel. We were first assigned room 1011 and the handle on the outside was broken. The front desk staff was honestly going to come and open the door for us because "he knows the hotel" and then seemed annoyed when I suggested to give us a new room because I did not want to come get a staff member every single time I had to open the door. The room was absolutely disgusting. The vent has mold coming from it. The balcony door does not close completely, the floor looks like it was flooded, the furniture had something broken or stained. The beds are extra extra firm. I have no idea how they even have 3.8 stars. There was not one time I walked past the front desk n didn't hear someone complaining about their rooms.

Let me say that check in was great!!! My Mom and I were here on vacation. It was more like a 2-in-1 vaca. We came here 3 days before our cruise date, to get a little much needed rest and relaxation! We did get fairly decent rest, it’s so close to the highway so we were stuck listening to that! It wasn’t horrible, because we enjoy the sounds, but at times it was a bit much! But overall, our stay was wonderful!
I was saving the best for last! Let me tell you about Ms. Virginia Gaines (?spelling?)!!! She is top notch in service! She got us checked in quickly, and during the whole time, she was so so sweet! She greeted me with a huge smile, (she has a very beautiful smile), great introduction, and a genuine personality that made us feel so welcomed! Anything I needed, I know I could some to her and she will get it done ASAP! Thank you so much Ms Virginia!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Virginia at the Holiday Inn Miami West. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond for any of our requests. Her warm and friendly demeanor made us feel truly welcomed.

The customer service experience was exceptional! My check in and check-out which was about ten minutes later was the highlight of my brief visit. The team was welcoming, understood my concerns, and immediately honored my request without hesitation.

I would not recommend this hotel. The location is difficult to access, especially if you arrive at the end of the school day. The vehicle congestion in the area is extremely frustrating. I took that as a sign that this would not be a good stay but I thought that I should at least give the site a chance. However, my intuition was accurate.

The lobby was horrifying. The layout looks great but the carpet is horrible, the floor in front of the front desk was filthy, as a matter of fact, everything in the lobby was filthy. Correction, everything that I saw was filthy.

The room looked clean from my brief observation, I did not look in the bathroom because I was taken back by the door to the conjoining room.

I noticed that the door did not have a lock on it and upon further inspection, I realized that the rolling desk was placed in front of a door that anyone could easily enter, if they were in the room next door. I was mortified! I knew that I would have to find another hotel because there was no way that I would feel safe or that my room was truly clean.

Again, shout out to the front desk team for the great customer service.

Sorry to say our stay at this hotel was sub par. Issues started at check in when front desk staff told us our room was ready early, only to find out that the cleaner was in room when we tried to get in. Went back to desk and staff found us another room. Got to that room and Key cards didn't work and key card reader was hanging off of door. Managed to get the key to open door but then door wouldn't lock again. Had to go to front desk again as we didn't want to leave our bags in an unlocked room. Maintenance was sent to help, didn't speak much English. I tried to explain that looked like battery was dead in key car reader. Maintenance guy showed us a work around but still not ideal and didn't feel comfortable that the door would stay locked.

Strong cleaner smell in the room, ceiling was damaged in bathroom above tub (leak from floor above). Room was generally clean but could see mold and water damage near the AC vents on the wall and carpets. After one night stay I developed a cough, which though I can't be sure was related to the mold, is still persisting.

I called our travel agent who booked us in this hotel and asked never to suggest this property to us or any of their other clients again.

Staff were friendly and helpful, but property is just run down.

I regret to say that our stay at the Miami West Airport property was very disappointing for me, my family, and my friends. We had two rooms following our cruise and found the hotel to be run down, dirty, and poorly serviced. The freeway noise was unbearable. Unlike other hotels near major roads, the windows and soundproofing here did not manage the noise at all.

We stayed in room 1002, which was dirty, with filthy carpets and stained duvet covers and pillowcases. When we requested new linens, the front desk and housekeeping did not offer to help change them; they simply dropped off new sets for us to change ourselves. Additionally, our room with two queen beds had only two towels. Despite calling for more, they never arrived, and I had to retrieve them from the front desk myself.

The room was in poor condition, with grout and caulking coming off the shower walls, and a worn-out leather chair with peeling leather. The smell of marijuana in the 10th-floor hallway was also noticeable.

Before the cruise, we stayed at the Miami Beach Holiday Inn. While it had a great location and better amenities, the room quality was only slightly better than at this property.

We have had good experiences with Holiday Inn Expresses in the past and expected this stay to be equal or better. Unfortunately, this was not the case, and I felt embarrassed as I had chosen this hotel for my family and friends.

Incredibly kind staff and comfortable beds. I ended up here after a series of delays into the night. I was stressed dialing for a bed at 1am. As soon as I talked to this team, everything got better. My room was comfortable and well-appointed. The breakfast was tasty. And they even had a toothbrush for me since mine was trapped in my luggage still somewhere on the tarmac. Bathrooms could use a refresh but honestly it was a perfect stay amidst a bout of chaos. The airport shuttle is also a convenient and free way to get to the airport. Runs every hour on the hour.
