Charming Little Gem in Deerfield Beach
This was my second time staying at Honu Cove, and it was just as wonderful as the first. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, which makes the whole experience feel personal and welcoming. The rooms are clean and have that relaxed, beachy charm—very reminiscent of a classic Key West hideaway.

It’s only a 3-minute walk to the beach, ideal for catching those stunning East Coast sunrises. The pool area is surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, creating a peaceful, private oasis.

While the kitchenette doesn’t have a stove, it’s thoughtfully stocked with a toaster, microwave, standard fridge, coffee maker, dishes, silverware, cutting board, dish soap, sponge, and drainboard—perfect for making light meals or snacks.

The bathroom is also nicely appointed with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, liquid body soap, and bar soap. And the beds are super comfy, making it easy to relax after a day in the sun.

Honu Cove is a sweet little spot that keeps me coming back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid-back beach escape!

We recently had the pleasure of spending a vacation in Deerfield Beach and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our stay at the Honu Cove Hotel was absolutely fantastic.

The hotel is ideally situated. Just a short walk to the beach. The surrounding area offers a great mix of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, making it a perfect spot !

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and there was plenty of space to relax after a day at the beach. The attention to detail in the design made the room feel like a cozy, upscale retreat.

What truly sets Honu Cove apart is the staff. Every team member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and eager to make sure our stay was perfect. From check-in to check-out, they went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcome and comfortable. Their hospitality made a huge difference and added to the overall enjoyment of our trip.

The hotel, the location, and the service all exceeded our expectations. If you're looking for a top-notch hotel in Deerfield Beach, I can't recommend Honu Cove enough. It's the perfect place for a relaxing, enjoyable getaway!

Hidden gem. Perfect very friendly and correct service. True hospitality. You can feel the love in the little pool-garden. Made us feel at home.

Walking distance to the beach (2 minutes) and 10 min walk to restaurants.

We definitely will come back! (we stayed here with friends) the rooms are very specious and clean. Just perfect.

If you only read one sentence of this review look no further: The only reason I'd ever tell someone not to stay here is because I need there to be space available the next time I'm booking.

I've never left a review for anything before, which I hope shows how much Drew and Sam have earned my admiration. The effort and passion they put into making the motel feel like a home away from home is something I have never experienced before. They are always ready to help in any way they can, and are always nearby if you need anything.

My partner and I found Honu Cove when looking for an affordable place to stay for a few days, and found it to be the same price or cheaper than comparable places nearby. It's also conveniently located a very short walk from a quiet section of the beach, and about a 15 minute walk from the shops and restaurants near the pier. When we read the reviews, we were surprised to see that they were glowingly positive. It seemed almost like it was too good to be true - but it wasn't!

When we checked in, Sam had already waived the security deposit (apparently I had checked in at another motel previously that had no issues with my stay) and invited us to a free(!!!) steak dinner along with the other guests that he and Drew prepared from scratch. It was delicious! This set the tone for our stay. They were always incredibly friendly and open with us, and it was a real pleasure to get to know them (I bet that one of them is reading this, so thanks again).

The rooms are clean and tidy, and ours came with a full-size refrigerator, sink, microwave and Keurig machine, as well as plates, cups and utensils - more than what we had expected! The courtyard is lush with well-manicured plants that Drew will be happy to talk with you about, and the pool is clean and well maintained.

In summary, if you're looking for a motel or similarly priced stay and you don't book here, you're doing something wrong.

A wonderful hotel that is clean, spacious and well maintained. We stayed in room 4 and 100% will be back. Lots of space in the room with a kitchenette. The pool and garden area is wonderful. Cross the road and you're at the beach. Save the money and don't stay ocean front and stay longer at Honu Cove. Easy walk to the Cove shopping and Deerfield main street.

Their warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were impeccably clean and spacious, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.

Adorable, small hotel right by the beach with all rooms surrounding a beautiful pool area. They area around the pool is planted with lots of tropical plants and flowers. Have bird feeders so saw quite a few birds. Very calm and relaxing place to stay. When I took a swim in the pool at night it was just soooo beautiful. All those plants around you, palm trees swaying in the breeze. ||The room was super clean and nicely decorated. Loved that they provide a beach towel as well as bath towels. A full dresser so you can unpack your suitcase. Nice big TV with remote above the dresser. Bathroom and shower were very nice. The bed was super comfortable.||I was in town for my father's memorial so it was a very emotional time for me. It wasn't just losing him but also returning to the area where I grew up that I hadn't visited in over 20 years so that made me emotional as well. The area has changed SO much! Whenever I encountered the owners, they were so kind and friendly. They even invited me to dine with them by the pool as they were grilling chicken. Had I not just eaten, I would have.||Can't recommend this place enough. It's calm and cozy. The owners and SO nice and SO eager to make sure their guests have everything they need. Thank you for making this VERY hard trip a bit better with your kindness and a beautiful place to stay while I was in town.

Excellent service, very friendly and polite. Clean renovated rooms.The location is very convenient, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. I was so impressed, I book another stay for the summer. Sam and Drew are wonderful hosts.
