This would be five star review if I had not had so much trouble getting in the front door. Not as tech savvy as some I guess and the welcome text may have gone to our land line. (yes we have one). I was able to call customer service and a 3 way call solved the problem in about 20 minutes. The rooms have every detail covered in small but nice ways. Very clean and fresh. I was having a procedure done at Swedish and the location could not have been better. The car was safe at the hospital parking garage. Just know you need a smart phone and credit card ready to check in. No person waiting. Also an unexpected 45$ cleaning fee. I don't like surprise charges. You need to declare all fees up front with a total up front. That is how we make choices. It was worth every dollar but better if other guests could be quieter on entry and exit. There you have it. Generally great besides a few hiccups.

Room and staff were great. Breakfast was delicious! However when I called ahead to ask if a coffee maker and a mini frig were in the room and she said it was a pot (it was an individual maker) and told no mini frig (and there was a frig).

Ive not had such a pathetic customer response to a problem EVER.
Gal kept me on the phone close to an hour. Kept leaving to talk with someone or find out something, but each time came back with a so sorry message and each time telling me oh, now the reservation change is $$ dollars more. First, only $30, second time over $50, third try over $300. Each time was because she couldn't do this or that and must check with someone. Finally she asked for my CC number to pay in full, then told me my card had expired and blah, blah, blah. None of it was true. In fact I offered her my CC exp date but she said no need, her system didnt need it. Then came back and said my card not accepted because it expired but now room change was $300 more than advised. This was final straw. Incompetence at every level.

It started off not that well, mostly due to poor direction on the prompts., and then, when I finally was connected, discovering that my original reservation had not been recored.

Angie, spoke a bit too quickly, but she was very clear. She helped nicely with making a new reservation as my first one had not been confirmed. She was efficient, polite and patient.

When booking the reservation, it automatically charged me $40 for refund protection which I didn’t want. I called them and they were able to remove it, and keep my reservation intact. They also called the hotel to confirm I could cancel reservation up to 24 hours before with no charge. The representative I spoke to was very quick to remove it and explain the process.

My experience at the Holiday Inn in Grand Forks, North Dakota is 100% consistent with all the other nights that I’ve stayed there. Clean, comfortable, quiet. I really appreciate that. In addition, Denise was extremely helpful in retrieving my coat and helping get that boxed up and shipped to my home. Many thanks for outstanding customer service

Booked online but was unable to find an icon for Veterans or Senior rates. I made the reservation then called to request the better rate. Was told it was not possible. Won't need to be staying at any Holiday Inns in the future. However, the agent attempting to help me was very courteous and helpful. Up against a greedy company policy.
