My husband Curtis and I met John on another adventure a few years ago and really liked him so decided to stay at his cabin that he built in Cotter, AR. We fly fished with him guiding us for 2 days. He is very patient and knowledgeable and helpful, we caught lots of great fish! We highly recommend staying at his cabin and fly fishing with Ike’s Ozark Fly Fishing on the White River!

This was the experience of a lifetime! We booked a full day of fishing and a weekend stay at the family lodge for my sons 21st birthday! John was not only kind, accommodating, delightful to hang around he is truly an expert fisherman. He taught my son to fly fish and gave him tips of spin fishing. We caught well over 25 fish because of his expertise. He showed a great deal of respect for the conservation of nature and the river and for the well-being of the fish as well. The lodge was stocked with attention to comfort and the sunrise view was breathtaking! Highly recommended for a dream weekend getaway!

Decided for our 40th anniversary to try fly fishing for trout. Boy, was I glad we did! John is an excellent guide, very patient and careful on how he handles the trout. We had a ball, and made a great friend at the same time. We also spent the weekend in one of his cabins, and they are extremely nice and beautiful as well. Highly recommend John as a guide and for the rental of a cabin in Cotter.

Had an amazing fishing trip with John as our tour guide. This was my first time trout fishing and he was very helpful from the beginning. He made me feel comfortable and confident. He was also very accommodating and helpful with choosing some of the best fishing spots depending on the day. Ike has been our go to guide for several years now.

I can't overstate how effective he is at getting us on good fish. In spite of some rough river conditions on an occasion or 2 we always manage to get in on good fish and that's all a credit to Ike's knowledge of the river.

He knows how to keep the mood enjoyable and is great at making the adjustments needed to get fish in the boat. He knows how to work the river and we always finish the day feeling satisfied that we put in the work and landed some beautiful fish.

I wanted to take my 13 year old son on his first float trip for trout. He's only fished a few times with a fly rod, so it was important to find a patient guide who would work with him and help him net as many fish as possible. Ike was a fantastic choice. He put us on good fish for our half day trip - my son and I both caught 10 nice rainbow trout (20 total) and had a great time. Would definitely recommend Ike for novice and experienced fly fishermen. Really great trip with a top notch guide!
