This is hands down the best fresh pasta store I’ve ever been to! The quality of the pasta is exceptional. We ordered the lobster ravioli for Christmas’ Eve , and it did not disappoint. The pasta was fresh, - as always- and the lobster filling was flavorful and rich. The staff is always helpful, offering great tips about the best sauces and pairings. You should also try their pastries and ice cream from Figo. Whether you’re looking for a quick dinner or something special for a gathering, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The focaccia is a must get! It comes freshly baked - the top and bottom are crisped and well seasoned, while the inside is soft and chewy.

The creamy bolognese sauce was delicate and heavenly, nicely coating the fresh pasta. It is comparable to pasta you can find in nyc.

Our appetizers were okay. The seared vegetables were just fine and the octopus was a little too mushy.

Service was great and the space is very clean. While the appetizers we ordered were not impressive, I would come back for the pastas and the bread!

A Hidden Gem of Authentic Italian Cuisine: Il Pastaficio!

Il Pastaficio in Westport is an exceptional Italian dining experience that delivers true authenticity straight from the heart of Italy. The proprietor, originally from the Lombardy region, brings a genuine passion for Italian cooking, evident in every dish served. This is not your typical red-sauce, Italian-American restaurant. Instead, it offers a more refined, authentic Italian culinary journey that’s hard to find in the area.

The pasta, made fresh daily, is nothing short of spectacular. Each dish reflects the skill and craftsmanship of traditional Italian cuisine, with perfectly textured pasta and sauces that are rich, nuanced, and absolutely outstanding. From velvety tomato-based sauces to delicate cream and herb blends, every bite feels like a taste of Italy.

One of the standout aspects of Il Pastaficio is its wine selection. The owners have curated an impressive list of high-quality Italian wines, offered at a surprisingly reasonable price. Their lower-than-average markup is a rare and thoughtful gesture, allowing diners to enjoy premium wines without breaking the bank—a testament to the hospitality and authenticity of this establishment.

For anyone seeking a genuine Italian dining experience, Il Pastaficio is, without a doubt, the best option in the area. It’s a place where tradition, flavor, and hospitality come together, making it a must-visit for lovers of true Italian cuisine.

We had the best Italian experience in Westport at Pastaficio. I am Italian, and it felt like home. All divine, fresh, and perfect! We ordered Linguine Al Limone with Italian caviar, Vitello Tonnato, Lemon Pie with Merengue, and Creme Brûlée. The service was impeccable, warm and friendly. Also great for takeaway like Crostata alla Nutella (just like my mom makes it!). A MUST!

Il Pastaficio doesn't know it, but they have a sister restaurant in Atlanta - Bab's Midtown. They aren't really sisters, because Babs is a breakfast/lunch establishment. The similarity - at Bab's you give your order to Randy, the owner. Reality - you don't give your order to Randy, because he tells you what to eat.
Follow his guidance and you have an enjoyable brunch.

At Il Pastaficio you don't need a menu - just listen to Adam. Adam will tell you his specials of the day, and explain the pastas on the menu. After listening to Adam, you will order the best short ribs you have ever tasted, a delicious fish dish, or a very unique pasta. If you don't believe me, first look at the menu, then listen to Adam. End result - you will enjoy one of Adam's recommendations.

Bottom line - the combination of Adam and an amazing kitchen makes for a very enjoyable evening.

Food is great, very fresh pasta and keeps it as Italian as it has to be in flavor and how it is served. Lunch special is a good deal. Ice cream good, not the best but good. Staff friendly although a little distracted as we had to repeat order and she missed a dish.

Il Pastaficio's artisan pastas are all made from natural grains imported from Italy, further highlighting their authenticity. Il Pastaficio's talented chefs have all worked in Michelin-starred restaurants in Italy. In addition to their famous fresh pasta, the Westport location also offers delicious appetizers and main courses that can be paired with a variety of Italian wines and cocktails.
