Choosing Intrigue to plan our Charleston destination wedding was the absolute best decision we made in our planning journey. They over delivered at every step and kept us constantly in the loop regarding decisions and happenings at the venue. They kept to a very organized project plan and were organized and proactive. The event was fabulous down to every detail thanks to their ability to magically take our vision and make it reality. What a ride this last year and a half has been! Shortly after our engagement we reached out to Intrigue to see what they offered/how they operated. It was a one-and-done decision after our first call. We could tell Chelsye had a passion for event design and her warm, welcoming demeanor helped ease us into this whirlwind of wedding planning.

We had very loose ideas of what we wanted for our special day but after Chelsye got to know us as a couple, she was able to string those ideas into a cohesive vision that went above and beyond what we could have wished for. She has a strong network of trusted vendors in the area which (in hindsight) took so much stress off of the situation. Everyone she recommended was professional, warm, and listened to what we wanted and how we wanted it done.

Huge shout out to Ashley who was with us at just about every step! She was a great resource when it came to some of the logistical and design details. She made herself available and was always willing to hop on a call at the last minute if we needed it.

From the moment I first spoke with Chelsye, she really took it upon herself to actively listen and learn about me and my husband as a couple, which made me feel truly understood and seen throughout the process. It’s rare to say you’ve had a working relationship with your wedding planner for 4 years. Even rarer to say they’ve helped you plan then replan your big day 3 times. Probably the rarest to say they navigated helping *multiple* couples simultaneously hold on to the dream of their perfect day amidst a global pandemic. Chelsye and the Intrigue team are real life fairy godmothers, superheroes, mind readers, and design visionaries. From our originally planned romantic garden wedding to our final and flawless bohemian chic Indian-American fusion wedding, Chelsye listened to exactly what we wanted and supported our various reveries. Ashley joined our planning endeavors a few months before the wedding, completely understood our design, and connected us with some amazing vendors that were instrumental to our aesthetic. The feeling of exhaustion and energy and hope and fear that come with waiting 4 years for a single momentous day was something I’ll never forget. All of these emotions were calmed, in everyone, with Chelsye present. I’ve never experienced a more complete, pure, and beautiful day in my life. The decor for both the ceremony and reception was breathtaking. Not only was it more dazzling than we could have imagined, Chelsye surprised us with statement rattan lighting and lounge the day of our wedding to make our big moment even more special. No detail went missed- even when wedding crashers entered the reception. We heard the next day that Chelsye caught them and had them removed. Again, superhero. Our families talk about our wedding and Chelsye in the same breath almost a year later. With awe. With joy. With love. We feel that and 4x more of everything positive for Chelsye and her team at Intrigue Design & Events.

I have never really thought of "what my wedding would be like" but from day one, Chelsye made me excited. With her bubbly personality and ability to make you feel comfortable, it was a no brainer that we would pick her as our wedding planner. Throughout the entire experience, the Intrigue team made it easy to be a bride. It was clear that Chelsye is an expert and able to bring beauty to life, but even more so, she made sure to incorporate both mine and my husbands personalities throughout the entire theme of the wedding. WOW is my first word for this incredible team. My wife and I were planning a Charleston wedding from Nashville, and they made everything so easy for us. We had mishaps close to our wedding day from the caterers, and they found a whole new catering team within budget. Chelsye and Ashley at Intrigue are absolutely incredible to work with! My now wife and I reached out Intrigue to help plan our wedding in Charleston and even though, we live halfway across the country, they always made us feel like we were seating in their downtown office with all their continuous communication, zoom presentations, and knowledge of the city. We had a pretty unique design in mind for our big day and these girls really ran with it, creating an outcome we couldn’t even imagine.
