This is an AMAZING Caribbean restaurant with flavorful food, wonderful staff, and free parking! I went for the first time today and was absolutely blown away by the obvious freshness of the food, the perfect amount of spices in every dish, and incredible portions for the price.

I had the jerk chicken (mouthwatering and perfectly cooked), Mac and cheese (PERFECTLY made and very cheesy), and collard greens (genuinely the best I've ever had) 😍

I urge you to stop by and pay them a visit - this is a delightful little spot in Johnstown and I hope this team gets the flowers they deserve!

I'm an out-of-towner who happened to stumble across this wonderful restaurant. The owner was very kind and offered to give me a sampler platter so I could try a little of everything. Oxtail, curry chicken, and island strew chicken. The oxtail was tender and savory! The curry chicken and island stew chicken meat was fall off bone and flavorful! All of that paired perfectly with the yams and collard greens. Looking for something out of the ordinary, this is that place! If I'm ever in the area again I plan on returning to try some of the other options!

Our new favorite place! Nicole was so kind, accommodating, and hospitable. The food, the flavors, the smells....WOW!We could have eaten our wait in collard greens. They were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Ask for the 3 protein platter with two sides.

What a gem, I went because a couple of friends told me how good it is and it’s fantastic food, the flavors are very fresh, complex and delicious. I had curry tofu, it was very good as was my daughter’s multi curry which had several meats including beef several ways oxtail and a couple more.
However if you’re in a hurry go somewhere else because they prepare most of it when ordered and the wait can be quite long, even when they’re not busy. The prices are unusually high for counter service, but the food is very good.

This was some of the best food I’ve had in quite some time! I got the curry chicken and it was unbelievably tender, juicy, and flavorful. I tried to keep it healthy with sides of cabbage and collard greens and the flavor was something my tastebuds won’t be forgetting anytime soon. If you want your kids to eat their veggies, this place gives you the best chance. Not to mention, once you start getting through your chicken, you’ll find an amazing bed of rice that soaked up all the happy memories of the rest of your meal. Just to top it off, these were some of the nicest people I’ve encountered in a while. They were extremely considerate of any allergies or special requests. My girlfriend is vegan and we are so excited to have a place like this in our town. Go give this place some love because they are certainly giving it out to us!

Their food is SOOO good. Some of the best food in Western PA. The goat curry is fantastic, oxtail is excellent, and the fish… so good. But our favorite part is the sides! As good as the main dish!

Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the jerk chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.
And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.
I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.

This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.

I've eaten here a few times and the food is delicious! Also, the owners are wonderful people. This is my favorite restaurant in Johnstown and it's truly a hidden gem. I highly recommend this place to anybody who wants great quality food for a great price!
