This review is about JD Eventz, where Ms Jankhana is the event planner/coordinator. I hired her to be a coordinator for wedding. First meeting I found her smart, organized and to the point. Don't go by that. She is a good talker.

Just as the names initial, JD should stand for Just Dont hire. This company should not be in this business at all, unless you are ready to do 90 -95%% of the work yourself. Very irresponsible. You do everything. She or her team will appear may be an hour before the event and run around showing off as if they are managing everything. They barely got in touch with vendors and if they did it was at last minute and that too not with everyone. One of the vendors when we told him about who our coordinator is actually told us not to rely on her as she does everything last minute. Wish we took that vendor seriously.

From our Sangeet arrangements to the day of baraat, they reached may be an hour before the event. The venue event manager did everything. Baraat day they never got in touch with the venue ahead of religious ceremony to see where bride is going to be waiting (the photographer reached with bride before them an hour early and figured out with people there) or the parking is open or not where the baraat will start. They had no clue. They just appear like rainbows and run around.

The day of reception they did some work after much pursuing. They helped with gifts and labeling of a few dishes. Again did not check the seating, my husband checked and found that a couple of tables required extra chairs. JD and her team left early and we did final wind up. Please feel free to message if you have questions. These are few examples of their irresponsible, and no accountability, behavior.

We would have been better off hiring two high school kids and explaining them what we need and paying them. If we were not on top off everything our event would have been a disaster. They should not be in this business at all. They are very capable of messing up anyone's once in a lifetime event if you are depending on them.

JDeventz, In light of your reply. We hired you as a whole event coordinator. Discussed plans and responsibilities in meetings with you. Where you acknowledged that you are experienced in mixed weddings. More than anything you reached at venues just 20-30 minutes before the actual event time. Contacted the vendors last minute and in some cases not at all. The day of reception you agreed to help with gifts with much pursuation because you kept on quoting that venue is one hour from your home. You left reception at 11.00 p.m while reception was going on, whereas you were expected to help wind down.
Its appalling that instead of taking responsibility for shortcomings from your side, you absolutely are justifying your indescrepancies. If we were not on top of it and left everything to you. You would have totally ruined the event. It's sad that you still dont realize how responsible your task is and your taking it easy and not being on top of it can ruin somebody's big day. Again, you shouldn't be in this business at all. Again I gave two stars for the help on the reception day in the morning where I worked right along side. Hope you focus on getting proper training and improving your work ethics. Good luck to future clients of yours.

There are several planners affiliated with this company; this review applies only to Jankhana, the owner. She is alarmingly unprofessional in critical aspects of communication both with the bride and groom as well as wedding attendees. Food available through self-service was not labeled in terms of ingredients or spice level, forcing those with food restrictions to either gamble or simply not eat. The wedding officiant was given no guidance as to the form and structure their script should take even upon explicit request. Jankhana also failed to respond to multiple requests, even from the bride and groom, for information about what production equipment would be available to those speaking at the wedding (the wedding officiant ended up purchasing the needed equipment himself).

Wedding party members were informed only the day before of when and where they were expected to be present for a processional rehearsal, and said communication was through the bride and groom, not Jankhana. Neither the day nor timing of toasts was conveyed to those invited to give toasts, leaving several toast-givers to scramble last-minute as they were instructed to be ready within minutes by Jankhana, who neither introduced herself nor explained what her role in the wedding was. She instructed the DJ at a pre-wedding day dinner to play music at a volume that not only made conversation over dinner impossible, but also caused several guests to leave early as the volume was causing physical discomfort. And in a move that seemed actively malicious, she also forced the bride and groom to sit at a table directly in front of the speakers, where the volume was particularly deafening.

It seems as though much of the burden of communicating anything whatsoever to guests fell to the bride and groom, both of whom were clearly overwhelmed.

Jankhana spends a lot of time branding herself as a prolific purveyor of extravagant weddings, but it seems her skills extend only to self-promotion. Perhaps other planners on her team are competent. But I deeply do not recommend hiring her specifically to be your wedding planner as she will become the greatest source of stress on your special day(s).

Declined my wedding planning inquiry despite being free on my date because she was holding out for a larger event. With 11 employees in this competitive market not sure why she did this, but it was incredibly unprofessional to say the least. I do not recommend.
