JST is a super convenient and stress free airport. Free parking is available right next to the terminal and the security line took less than a minute. Daily flights to O’hare and Dulles You only need to arrive 30 minutes before your boarding and still have time to relax.

The airport is nice, clean and spacious. The staff was polite and helpful. The departure time changed four times, and we were offered complimentary snacks and water. I got a $15 voucher from United.

Flew out of Johnstown and had a great experience. The drive was about ten minutes as opposed to the lengthy drive to Pittsburgh. The atmosphere was calm and there were many different seating areas to choose from. Very comfortable and clean seating. I loved the tiny luggage carousel haha. TSA was a breeze though I was selected for a random pat down. The staff were EXTREMELY friendly and kind. Everyone on the flight appeared to have an easy time going through. Took no time at all. Again, everyone was so friendly. You don’t get this experience anywhere else. The vending machines were stocked and bathrooms were clean. Oh and there’s free parking!! Upon our return it was super quick to get our luggage and exit. Would recommend time and time again.

From the moment you arrive, it’s clear this airport is different. One of the most striking aspects is the human connection you get here—yes, human connection. You actually interact with the staff at security and the gate in a meaningful way. These aren’t rushed, faceless exchanges; they’re genuine, helpful, and kind interactions that make you feel welcomed and cared for.

The airport is perfectly tailored to the needs of the region. It’s incredibly fast and efficient, with no long lines. Security is a breeze, and navigating from check-in to your gate is as simple as it gets, Johnstown offers an experience that’s surprisingly refreshing and certainly better than the drive to Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.

There is even a Hertz office here! But check hours if you are arriving late.

Parking is plentiful and convenient—no long hikes from a massive garage, and certainly no expensive parking fees. Once inside, the waiting areas are thoughtfully equipped with amenities, including an unmanned bookstore, charging stations, and refreshments, which make any wait time comfortable and stress-free.

Flights are remarkably reliable, with on-time departures being the norm rather than the exception. United Airlines operates convenient connections through here, making it easy and affordable to reach larger hubs for nationwide accessibility.

Staff incredible kind, patient and helpful even during very stressful times when flights delayed and people getting rerouted.

Worked with Jennifer, supervisor the first time there and had to go back another day to ask for help on another issue and Mr Gella was able to assist. That’s two different staff groups I had the pleasure of working with both took extra time to help sort out issue.
