Joyce turned the "should be" stressful wedding planning process into something fun for me, my now husband and my mom. Joyce has an eye for detail, an amazing calming presence and connections abound in the wedding industry. Having planned corporate events and weddings for years, she did a fantastic job recommending a hair stylist, florist, cake baker and paper good providers. Not only that, but she also helped us design our invitation suite and thank you cards. Then flash forward to wedding day, Joyce helped us execute a flawless wedding. She was organized and executed our vision PERFECTLY - it was literally the wedding of our dreams because of all of her hard work and meticulous planning. I would highly recommend working with Joyce for any wedding or corporate event. She will work with you to understand your vision and make sure that you are actually able to celebrate your day.

Joyce was our wedding planner for our wedding this past September, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Where to start…
- She is there for you emotionally. I didn’t realize how much emotional support goes into having a wedding planner. It’s not just the logistics, it’s understanding all the complicated family/friend dynamics and helping to manage them. She went above and beyond to help navigate these tough situations and make everyone happy. In another life, I swear she was a therapist.
- She’s professional. She will always show up on time and prepared.
- She is organized beyond belief. I am type A and she had my lists put to shame. After a few weeks in, I stopped trying to control everything because I realized, she had it. You can 100% trust her.
- She’s well connected and respected. All the vendors she recommended were amazing and couldn’t speak more highly of her.
- She’s personable. You’ll be spending a lot of time with your wedding planner, and you want to like her. I hope to be as cool and fun as her when I grow up.
I typically like do include cons in reviews, because I’m of the opinion that not everythingggg could be 5/5, but in this case, there is nothing more I could’ve asked for in a wedding planner. If you want someone to be there for you for your event, and that means every day leading up to it and each day after to make sure every last detail is squared away, Joyce is your person.

I hired Joyce's Events to be our Day of Coordinators for our wedding. I interviewed 5 different DOCs but felt immediately comfortable with Joyce and Danny. It certainly all depends on what you are looking for in this type of vendor but things that made me hire them and love working with them included:

Joyce is extremely calm under stress. The day of our interview she was leaving in 1 hour to go to Europe. She still took time with me and did not rush or pressure me. Cool, calm and collected!
They went over all my contracts (before or after I signed them depending on the situation) and helped coach me on the legal terms of each contract. Many DOCs will not do this.
They helped develop a rain plan for the wedding. I spent so much time planning the wedding that by the time I got to the rain alternative plan I was so sick of planning. Joyce and Danny took over and did most of the work.
They picked up our flower arrangements the day of the wedding (granted the florist was 10 minutes from the venue and I only ordered 2 bouquets and 2 table arrangements, so very small floral order). But they picked them up without issue and delivered them to the venue in beautiful condition.
They helped fill in the holes/gaps in my wedding planning. There were bits and pieces I forgot along the way (for example I planned the ceremony processional but forgot the recessional).
They were the last 2 people to leave the venue (again another reason I hired them, most DOCs that I interviewed leave after dinner is over). They packed up all of our decorations and put some into my car and some into storage at the venue. We then arranged for them to meet us at the hotel (5 minutes from the venue), because my husband and I had too much to drink and couldn't drive, and we also wanted to stay with our guests to take the hotel shuttle back. Joyce and Danny came to the hotel with my car and all of the important items (some heirloom pieces I used as decoration, all of our cards and physical gifts) so that we were able to store them safely in our hotel room .

We were extremely happy with everything they did and would recommend Joyce's Events in a heartbeat!
