Don't trust this place.

Sure they'll appear to tell you what is the issue with your vehicle and how they plan to repair it, BUT what they wont do is repair the entire issue with the vehicle. They will "fix" your car just for it to have problems 3 weeks later because:

1) they knowingly didn't fix the whole problem
or
2) their "fix" CAUSED the new problem.

Either way they get you to keep coming back in to pay more money for a never ending run of issues.

The final straw that made me write this is because of my recent experience. They replaced three of my rotors (which did not need to be replaced according to my other automechanic source), leaving me with "issues" with the last rotor and its corresponding brake pad 3 weeks later. Then when I asked to repair the screaming brake pad, they told me that it is usually advisable to replace all the rotor and pads at the same time so that they line up and dont cause issues . . . hmmm so how are we here then?

And prior to this, I had come in with tire pressure issues for multi weeks in a row throughout the fall and winter. Each time was a "quick fix" or any "easy" replacement of a tire or some other issue they would "identify" and "fix".

"Fix" . . . Yeah right, they are there simply there to sell you brakes, rotors, and tires whether you need them or not . . .

There's a reason why they are in Clarks Summit . . .

EDIT TO RESPOND TO OWNER:

NOT A CHANCE!! Nothing but CROOKS over there! Unless you fix all the issues you all caused on this vehicle for FREE (dont even think about charging for LaBoR) dont even bother.

P.S. It's easy to see that if your team's "solution" doesnt work the first time around on a vehicle, their next step is to have you buy replacements for all the other pieces: wheels, rotors, sensors, hoses, doesn't matter because they get to charge you another 4x of what they just got away with . . . and dont worry, you'll still have to come back in 3 weeks because the car still isn't fixed!

My step-daughter recently broke down on Rt. 81 and was towed to this location by AAA. At first I was very apprehensive about her getting repair service from a chain location. After she had a discussion with Matt in the morning, he agreed to have a mechanic look at the car early in the day. Matt was very straightforward and instead of making obvious repairs that may not provide a lasting solution, he gave her sound advice that I would expect from a known and trusted mechanic. I was very happy with Matt and all of the employees that we dealt with at this location. They were all very helpful, pleasant and they earned my trust.

I had a low tire...they checked within an hour and it was a nail and fixed it
They said no charge! I was shocked.
Everyone sooo super nice. I gave the guys $20 to get lunch.

I moved to the area about three years ago and needed a new automotive repair shop to go to. Me and my son in law went to Kost up in Clarks Summit to get a few repairs done like a radiator flush and full brake job. They are very reasonably priced. I compared prices with other automotive shops and it's right there with other prices.I had heard some sounds coming from the front end after the brake job. I thought there was something wrong so I called them back. They told me to bring it in so they could check it over. They did and found nothing wrong. Just new brake squealing. I brought it back and they couldn't find anything wrong. But I told them there is definitely something there. I'm down again now at Firestone to have it checked out again. Not sure if it's the quality pads they used. I learned that the quality of break pad could cause squealing. I will keep you posted after Firestone looks at them.

I broke down on the PA turnpike near Clark Summit. The tow truck company brought me to Kost. They knew I was traveling home from a long trip and had hours to go. They brought my car in immediately. Made the repairs and I was out the door and back on the road in no time! Great great staff! The best service. Can’t say enough about them.

Before I could get my truck inspected I needed an an inspector to sign off papers to transfer my title from another state. It was done quickly. I made an appointment for an inspection. I needed new tires to pass. Matt worked with me on getting the best tires at a price I could afford. All of the staff there were friendly and professional.
The only negative is even if you have an appointment the shop runs on a first come first served basis.

Wanted to give Paul and Allen a huge shout out/public recognition for their exceptional customer service this past weekend.

My family and I were on a 12 hour trip from NY to NC when we suddenly had a flat tire. After initially calling my insurance and they could not help, I found this shop and they connected us to a local tow company to change the tire. When we got to the shop, Paul and Allen both went above and beyond to get our vehicle seen, offered us options for repair, and then really surprised me by completing the work so quickly.

Truly appreciate these gentleman for their kindness and understanding. It’s a good reminder there still are good people in this world willing to help strangers in their time of need. Will recommend everyone I know to do business at Kost!!

Everyone is always so friendly & helpful. They call you to check before just doing work to make sure you approve (if it wasn’t already discussed). I would highly recommend!
