A great spot to grab a quick treat! My little one loves their macarons. Haven’t gotten anything we haven’t loved from there! The staff are always very kind and helpful.

Very nice and quaint little bistro. Patries are very fresh and the coffee is some of the best I've had anywhere. The eclaire with the white chocolate, you can tell is very fresh, and dare I say, better than Jewel Osco which has had the better eclaires I can find. Owner was who took care of us and he is a delight. Interior is very stylized and very pleasent. Will definitely be coming back when in the area for a bite and a coffee! (:

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We went in the day before to ask if they could make a 9-inch heart shaped cake and write happy birthday to our friend. When we went to get it today, he came out with this (pictured below — the cake was 5 inches). I expressed that was not what I wanted and he got angry and told me to not return to the shop ever again. I am very shocked and upset with how I was treated especially because he was the one that said yes to the requests we had made the day prior. Everything would have been okay if he had said they could not make something like this when we asked. Instead, he himself agreed and this cake looks like something that was made at home, it lacks the professional details that you would normally be able to find at a bakery. He also made us pay full price and was not apologetic in the slightest when I expressed my concern.

Update: business has changed ownership. I have not been there, nor have I heard good reports from the people I know.

Original review:
Delightful in every way! The handcrafted food is as delicious as it is appealing. A wide variety of lunch, dinner, and breakfast meals. Husband had the Lobster roll (100% real lobster on Brioche bun, butter lettuce, Amazing garlic aioli& clarified butter) with Lobster bisque soup. I had the Spinach and cheese puff in a layered, flakey puff pastry roll and French Onion soup. We split a carrot cake muffin with whipped cream on the side for dessert. Mmmm. Ambiance is charming. Chef Paul and Chef Kim are genuine and welcoming. We'll be back!

We stopped at La Vie en Rose first for brunch. We tried a savory bacon scone. I skipped the coffee as the only sugar-free sweetener they had was stevia (I know some people swear by it, but I find it vile). We also tried a cup of their tomato bisque - loved it. We chatted with some of the staff, and he told us of their Italian deli down the block. We will be back for the extensive sandwiches.

Absolutely lovely. The staff are so nice. The food is out of this world. Trust me I've been to places like this in Europe. This place makes me feel like I'm on a cute little cobblestone street in a historic little town. And Woodstock fits the bill for that too. Food tends to be light, balanced, and fresh. Grab a coffee and sit back in your chair and welcome the day. Absolutely will be back. The prices do run higher, but the quality is consistently a cut above.

I ordered a cake and dozen assorted cupcakes for my son's graduation party. He's graduating from WHS so I told them to make sure it had the school colors. My son loves key lime pie, so I was very excited that I could order that cake flavor. He loves the white chocolate decor - cap and diploma they did. ❤️ Party's tomorrow, so we haven't tasted anything yet - but it all smells delicious.
Ordering was very easy...shot them an email with what I wanted with a pick up date and time. I will definitely order from them again.
Thanks for helping make his special day, even more special!

When you pay $9 for three croissants you expect croissants and not Walmart quality pastry. Anybody who knows what a croissant should be knows that the second step is the lamination process. Lamination is necessary to produce multilayered dough with alternating layers of predough and fat.

First image a real croissant with layers, the second an overpriced pastry that has nothing to do with the original french pastry exept the shape. Use language correctly and don't mislead people into buying something that it is not.
