We recently had the most magical wedding at this stunning lakeside venue, and we can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we first reached out, Dan and Jenn were incredibly helpful and attentive, guiding us through every step of the planning process over the course of 1.5 years. Their expertise made a potentially overwhelming experience feel seamless and enjoyable. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking, with gorgeous lakefront views that provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Dan and Jenn orchestrated everything flawlessly, from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch. Each event was executed perfectly, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy every moment with our family and friends. Their dedication to making our day special was evident in every detail. Additionally, the on-site lodging was incredibly convenient, allowing our guests to stay right by the lake and enjoy all the amenities without the hassle of travel. It made the entire experience feel even more intimate and connected. We can't wait to return for annual anniversary trips! This venue will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to creating more beautiful memories there in the years to come. Thank you, Dan and Jenn, for everything—you made our dream wedding a reality!

This campground aka resort truly has it all. Lets start with the spacious sites, so much room! It was so nice to not be slide to slide with the neighbor. The stunning views of the lake from a majority of the sites was refreshing. So if you couldn't snag a spot right on the water, you can likely still get a great view. The staff on site were super helpful and very friendly. The Marina Cafe has some of the best food we have had in a long time. And if you don't want to get too fancy, Best Way Pizza is on site dishing up delicious slices. We went as the leaves were changing for fall and it was so beautiful and peaceful. This resort also has sight seeing and dinner cruises, how cool is that? Also on site is a water park, which was super unexpected! We couldn't enjoy it though since it was too cold. We also thought this campground was perfect for bike riding. The roads everywhere are paved and there are lots of places in the park to explore. With multiple camp stores, restaurants, and cruises... what more could you want or need? We will definitely be making Lake Raystown Resort a regular stop in our travels.

I'd give our cabin a 3/5 due to the terrible mattresses. Everything else was fine as we didn't expect much since we stayed in a dog friendly cabin. It'd be nice if they added some sort of ventilation in the bathroom. I feel like my towel was damp the whole trip and never fully dried. I will always have such fond memories of this trip, though. There is something for everyone at this resort. A restaurant, pool, beach, biking/walking trails, different types of "cabins", a hotel and of course, the lake! We rented a boat for a day and jet skis. We also took the sight seeing tour on the steamboat which was a nice way to bring our trip to a close. Staying here provided a much needed break from the hustle, bustle and attitude of city life. Everyone was super friendly and respectful, always waving and never tailgating while driving and no blasting music. I wish I could live here!

This October was the 32 year that our group of friends stayed at the Lake Raystown Resort. We always stay either at the Maple or Pine Cabins.|The area around the lake is absolutely gorgeous and autumn offers a beautiful leaf changing spectacle. |However, the customer service at the Resort has changed lately. Unfortunately for worse.|Last Monday, after checking out and returning the keys promptly at 11:00am, we returned to the site to have a late lunch at a table next to "our" cabin. We had around 4 hour drive ahead and wanted to get lunch before we hit the road. |As we ate, we were approached by a very unfriendly security person from the main gate who ordered us to "get out of the property". At our polite response that we are just finishing a sandwich and leaving, he angrily repeated his "order" adding that this was not a picnic area.|I have to say it felt as a slap on a face after a beautiful weekend there.|I still wholeheardly recommend the Resort, especially in autumn months but, hopefully, this review will get attention of the management and a customer service training will be offered to the security personnel?

My husband and I stayed at a lake view villa, L14. We brought our bass boat. There’s a parking area for boat trailers before getting to the villas. It has a 24 hour security office and it’s a gated area. It was a nice stay, quiet area. The cabin was clean, 2 bedrooms with double bed, fairly comfortable. There’s A/C and heat, kitchen, dining, living with pull out sofa bed, back deck and fire ring with picnic table. The kitchen has 4 c coffee maker, microwave, fridge, stove. Bathroom area has double bowl sink and mirror, bathroom with tub shower and toilet. The water pressure was great!! They supply toilet paper and bedding. Not an Airbnb so no coffee filters but did supply one regular coffee packet and one decaf but no extra coffee filters. No hand soap, bath soap or dish soap. No bath towels provided. No chairs in back deck or for campfire so we ended up making a run to Walmart for chairs, soap and coffee filters. The water tasted bad so we also bought 3 gallons of water. There was a mouse chewing sound in the wall at night so we were glad to have earplugs and we played white noise on our phone. We would definitely rent again.

We stayed in a lodge room. The room was a premium king. It was comfortable and clean. We had a mini fridge and a small microwave. AC worked great even in 97 degree heat. We had a great lunch at the Marina Cafe. We knew breakfast was only served certain days so we brought breakfast foods with us - oatmeal, yogurts etc. The beach area at the resort is small but there are 2 public beaches in driving distance that were beautiful and much bigger. Try the Tatman access area beach and the 7 points recreation area beach. My husband fished on the shore and enjoyed the Aitch access area. It was quiet there and perfect for me to sit by the water and read. It was a relaxing quiet vacation. We will visit again. Might try the lakefront villas at the resort next time. They looked to be in a great spot! All staff were very friendly and helpful. No issues at all.

This is the second time we have been here with our RV. They have really big sites if you choose the Red Carpet ones and they offer 50 amp service and water. There is no sewer at any of the sites which is fine as long you are not staying more than 3 days in our case. They do offer honey dipper service for a fee but you must sign up and they limit it to 20 campers a day.|The only downside that I experienced were the public bathrooms. They are quite dated and while the floors, toilets and sinks were clean there were spider webs in the stalls and windows. The automatic light i the one closest to our site didn't come on upon entry.|The lake and marina are beautiful and the staff is very friendly.|For a weekend it is perfect for us.

This was a very relaxing and awesome experience at Lake Raystown resort. We stayed in the Birch. Camping site spot 34. You have a Good view of a lake from here. It's noteworthy to mention that from the Birch side you have a little distance to walk to the swimming area.. we camped in a tent spot that did provide electricity and water. We camped using my lifted Toyota Tundra with the rooftop tent.. it was a very awesome experience with the opening of the tent face and towards the lake. What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning. This was a very awesome Resort. I can't say enough positive things. Very well set up. All the patrons were very polite. Nice. Very family-oriented camping resort. We camped here on the 4th of July weekend 2024. What an awesome way to bring in another birthday for America!. Raystown Lake is a humongous Lake and there's so much to explore, even beyond the resort.. also, from the bird site it's roughly a 7-minute walk to a general store if you need supplies. Which is on the resort.
