I've helped with meals there about 4 times now. It's a well run facility. Any one you know that has hit hard times, needs a place to stay and some guidance in their lives, send them here.

I got a chance to volunteer in the kitchen with Rotary and what a nice kitchen it is. We were able to very easily whip up a big meal for their 30-plus guests. They're always looking for people to cook. The kitchen is fully equipped stainless steel everything and well-marked to find knives and bowls and stuff to cook.

They do the community a great service but being state and federally funded they turn people away for THC in the urine test when Illinois has legalized it so in my opinion they should lose all state funding

Pretty brusque. Told me I was too late for intake and they wouldn't help us for just a few days, anyway. Gave me phone numbers for shelters in a few other towns. Didn't really care that night dropped into the teens. Practically wanted a piss test to walk on the property. "All the other places insist you're drug free, no opioids allowed even with a prescription."

My family serve food there on occasion to help out. The place always has a smell to it. Looks kinda ran down & outdated but I suppose it serves its purpose. If your homeless & need help this is the place to go. Owners are very nice couple
