On my first visit to the Everglades I had limited time so chose Macks due to its proximity to Miami and my gut instinct it would be an ethical and decent operator. I was not wrong. Marshall took me out with little notice, for an excellent couple of hours where he stopped to show and talk about the history and importance of the Everglades ecosystem and the indigenous people who have lived there. Macks is a family run outfit and with them you benefit from 5 generations of knowledge and wisdom. For me, it was clear that Mack's ethos is to protect and treat their environment in a sustainable way. I would highly recommend Macks and will return.

Wow—what an amazing experience! Mack’s Fish Camp is the real deal—authentic, exciting, and just all-around awesome. The tour felt so personal, and we saw so many alligators up close! Our guide, Jim, was incredible—always on the lookout for cool wildlife, and he made sure we got the best views. We also learned a ton about the history of the area, the birds, and the unique ecosystem of the Everglades.

And let’s talk about the airboat—so much fun! At times, we were flying across the water, which made it even more thrilling. Then there’s Marshall, the owner—you can just tell how much he loves and cares for this place. He’s the kind of person who makes an experience like this even more special.

I can’t recommend Mack’s Fish Camp enough, and I seriously can’t wait to go back! If you’re looking for a truly authentic Everglades adventure, this is it.

If you’re looking to spend some time in the Everglades, this is the spot to do it! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and the fun began. Our guide Jim was a happy go lucky guy and knew so much about this special wetlands ecosystem. We saw the birds, beautiful water lily’s, and the gators! This spot is so much more than a tour, it’s a total immersive nature experience. My family and I had a blast. We will for sure be back! Thanks again Mack’s Fish Camp!

Amazing experience, absolutely recommend. The airboat tour of the Everglades was one I'll never forget. Our guide Marshall delivered a one of a kind trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, ecology, and wildlife of the Everglades. Not only was the trip alot of fun, but it was thoroughly educational as well. Suffice to say, this tour was above and beyond my expectations, and significantly different than what other tours offer.

We had an amazing day at Mack’s Fish Camp! Marshall was a fantastic guide—his passion for the Everglades and deep knowledge made the experience unforgettable. We got on the airboat and explored the stunning Everglades, spotted alligators, and learned so much about the ecosystem. Fishing was another highlight where we caught several wild bass. The camp’s combination of adventure, education, and natural beauty is unmatched. This is not some big tourist trap, its family run and has been for 5 generations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an authentic Everglades experience!

This is the real deal guys! Our Everglades trip was so much more than what we expected thanks to Jim and, of course, nature itself. You can’t go wrong with these guys. Tip: if you can, go for more than just 1h. We did the 1.5h trip and we are so glad we didn’t just do 1h only.

A morning with Hal in the Everglades is 100% worth the money. I have been on at least 15 airboat rides with visiting friends and family. July 5th, I learned more than all 15 trips put together. Absolutely nothing compares to a private tour, and I have had a few. Mack's Fish Camp is definitely our favorite.
The knowledge and love of the Everglades are apparent from the first minute you get out to the car. Pumba, the pig greats you with a soft nuzzle, and the peacocks are curious.
The Everglades are not for the weak. Come prepared, you will not have fun if you are not dressed appropriately and not hydrated. The heat, bugs, rain, and even cold, depending on the time of yr, are strong, mother nature doesn't play around. However, if you come prepared, you will have an amazing time.
Hal had cold water for us, but we brought our own cooler with drinks that he put on the boat for us. A snack would be in order if you have little ones. I highly recommend this trip for any age customer. The walk to the airboat is easy and short. Could be done even with someone in a wheelchair.
Again, if you understand you are in the middle of a wild eco system under the glaring sun and you come prepared (sunscreeen, cooler, clothes for wind, rain, extreme sun exposure, cold if it is winter), you have never seen anything like it. I am always blown away by her beauty. She never disappoints, and Hal's love for her is pretty spectacular.
5 stars! Can not recommend Mack's enough.
If it is summer and hot, an early morning tour is the best bet for animal views. Everyone hides in our midday sun. Go early, pepare, tell Hal we said hi and enjoy!! You will not be disappointed.
