We just completed bicycling the GAP over a period of five days in mid-October. We engaged Doug at Maple Leaf Outfitters to transfer our baggage during the stay. He met us the first morning of our trip promptly at our hotel at the agreed upon time. Every day we got a text saying when he had dropped the bags at our next lodging along with a wish for a good day. He was very personable and trustworthy. The bags were always there before we arrived. We would highly recommend Doug and Maple Leaf Outfitters!

Our corporate group used Maple Leaf Outfitters for our recent 9-day walking journey! Doug was phenomenal in the planning of our trip, suggesting the best places to stay along the way. He also handled all of the luggage transportation for our group. We never had to wonder whether our luggage would be at our next stop! My wife and used Doug for a three day four night bicycle trip on the GAP trail IN August. We were shuttled from Cumberland to Connellsville, with overnights in confluence, Meyersdale and Cumberland. All of his accommodation and restaurant recommendations were excellent. Our bags arrived, where they were supposed to well ahead of our arriving at the hotels. And he was a pleasure to work with. Excellent communication. We look forward to working with him again.

If I could I would give Doug 10 stars. We used Maple Leaf Outfitters for a two day, one night Great Alleghany Passage ride. We used Doug's business, Maple Leaf Outfitters to transport our luggage and provide shuttle service. We arranged to meet at the starting point of Ohiopyle on the first day at 9:30AM for Doug to pick up our belongings. There were 3 of us. Doug arrived right on time. He gave some tips on the trail and places to stop to eat. We had a separate reservation to camp that night in Meyersdale at the Maple Festival campground. As part of our package, Doug supplied two tents, 3 camp chairs and Coleman stove and sleeping pads. When we arrived at the campground our tents were set up. I called to let Doug know we had arrived and he delivered out luggage within 10 minutes. He also had a paneled travel traveler which he brought to the campground and gave us the keys so we could lock our bikes inside along with our luggage overnight and if the weather did not cooperate we would also sleep in it too. (As a side note this is a safe area and there were other campers, but it was great to know our belongings were safe). There was some question about if the weather for the next morning would be good for riding. Doug was very accommodating and said to just call or text him with our plans in the morning. We were able to ride and I let Doug know what time we planned on leaving. He came over and picked up our luggage. He had made arrangements with the shuttle driver to pick us up in Cumberland MD at 1:00. We left the campground at 8:15. We made much better time and were due to arrive about an hour earlier, so I called Doug (cell service on the trail was good) and he immediately contacted the shuttle driver to pick us up an hour earlier. The shuttle driver arrived exactly on time and brought us back to Ohiopyle to our car. Doug is a great person and will help with anything you may need. We were able to reach him via text and phone throughout our trip. He always immediately responded and never hesitated to help. When I initially contacted him to make our arrangements, he immediately responded and whenever I had questions, I would just email or call him and he would immediately respond and answer all our questions. We have a wonderful experience and a big part of that was because of the wonderful job Doug did accommodating all our needs. I can't say enough about how attentive and nice he is. If you are looking to do a long trip on the GAP or just an overnight trip, please call Doug. He will take good care of you.
