It's nice, quiet, and beautiful. A good and proper place for occasions like weddings, celebrations, etc. The view is great. The small house looks good and has a nice galley. It's part of UCSD, so be sure to follow UCSD policy.

A beautiful small area above the cliffs to watch the surfers at Scripps Pier or enjoy the local scenery! The red aloe flowers bloom in the winter right near the cliff, it's a beautiful sight!

As a local wedding photographer, I've been to all the wedding venues in the San Diego area, and Martin Johnson House is one of my favorites. This hidden gem combines a quiet and charming vibe with a dramatic oceanfront view. We hosted a welcome party for our wedding at the Martin Johnson House and cannot recommend it enough! The venue is absolutely gorgeous with a cute cottage and stunning views of the cliffs. Shoutout to Andrew at UCSD for making the organizing process a breeze. Unlike some other venues, working with them is very easy.

My wife and I had our perfect wedding here- reasonably priced, great vendor selection (shout out to Crystal from Buckboard Catering! You were like a wedding planner and a half built in!), great outdoor space with indoor access. You can't go wrong here.

I have been the DJ/emcee and officiant for many weddings here. It is absolutely beautiful with views looking over Scripps Pier, La Jolla and the Pacifuc Ocean.
There is a large deck area with 2 levels and a lower grass area for the ceremony. Large trees provide shade and look great with up-lights at night.
I highly recommend this venue for a wedding or special event.
