Hello I am an abused woman who left my abuser and come to the media inn because I didn't want to put my family and friends in any danger. My family and churches helped me stay there until I was able to get into a shelter. So today my rent was late and he put me out 12/31/24. So I'm sitting out here like a sitting duck. They never cleaned my room never gave me fresh towels or sheets the two weeks I was there. I even cleaned my own room rain came through the window and the floor is sinking in I stayed there so that I wouldn't have to return to him and they were paid between 1200 and 1400 dollars for my stay

I stayed here while visiting a friend near Media. The check-in counter is protected by thick glass like you would see in a bank teller's space. It did not start me with a great feeling.||The room was spacious but there were several problems. First, the bathroom has some type of plumbing repair that left a copper water pipe permanently exposed next to the tub. There were also very poorly patched holes in the ceramic tile.||There were any number of hairs in the shower/tub area itself. Also, the bathroom door would not close all the way. There was about a six in gap when it was closed as far as it would move.||The door to the outside really had to be slammed to close tightly. Definitely need to double check it each time. ||The parking is limited. On Saturday night I was not able to get a spot. Sunday night was fine. Overall, I would not stay there again.

Decided to stay at America’s best in media pa, what a freaking mistake! I’ll be taking pictures for this review. We got a room $90 that when we got there smelled like something died, the tv and air did not work, and smoke dectector hanging off ceiling, pretty sure if I called an inspector it wouldn’t pass. We opened the window and I called and waited my husband complained and he stood outside for over an hour waiting for the room to cool off! Kept hearing I’ll send someone. Come to find out the guy that checked us in didn’t flip the switch to our room. Couldn’t find the refrigerator and started opening dresser drawers and first one fell on floor 🙀didn’t open any more till I went back on line and saw there should be one. Well I found it in next dresser and had no shelves and wasn’t cold enough to keep my subs cold enough so had to get help to bring my cooler up a flight of steps. 30 min after that I after pushing and getting frustrated I finally got the tv working and 30 min after that the fan on the air came on. I didn’t do a thing. After a 800 mile drive I wanted a shower, another big mistake. The water got warm enough to just get in and rinse and then turned cold! Manager says he fired the guy but not sure I believe that since he’s still here, I think it’s family run and they were blowing us off! John says this place should be condemned by better slums and ghettos! I love watching Hotel impossible and I’m not even sure Anthony Melchiorri can help them save this place!|Morning update there was hot water after letting it run for 5 min, shower quickly!

Problems at the hotel:
First Morning the Hotel Manager ask me if Housekeeping was treating me well, my response to him-“I have not seen Housekeeping).
I notice that evening that they did not sweep up the bathroom floor.
I also notice a body hairs on the bathtub edge. I continue to notice it was there for a couple of days. (They have not clean the bathtub.)
I continue to notice that the room rug has not be vacuum while I was there, there was trash under the desk that was never clean up also.

The morning of the third day, when I was cleaning up. I grab one of the wash cloth to wash my face, it was dirty black, stain with orange spots also.

On the third day, when I return to my room, I notice the glass top on the desk was never clean, and the trash was still on the floor. I then call down for the Hotel Manger to come to my room, I show him that nothing has been clean. I also complain to him about what happen in the morning with the wash cloth. His excuse was that he fire the old people. Also stated, that he took over the hotel on May 8. I told him that was not my problem.

On the same day, that evening I was washing up to go out to dinner. I grab a towel to dry my face and the towel was filled with hole and shredded.
I was very angry and went down stairs to look for him. I gave him the towel and told him that should never been place in my room.
I also told him I want some money back for all my troubles. He stated he had to speak to someone. That never happen.

Also, during my week there-the front desk never had anyone there. Anyone call walk in to the hotel, there was a lot of vagrants hanging around the hotel. I felt very unsafe while I was staying there.

Also the electrical outlet either don't work or don't hold on to the plugs, very unsafe.

Stay away from this place

Instead of an apology, you should of answer my request for compensation for all the trouble you put me through.

This is terrible place, and everyone needs to stay away from your hotel.

Disgusting. Absolutely gross and unclean. Cigarette burns all over the bed and headboard. Sink coming off wall. Hairs in the bed and sheets. Urine on extra blanket in closet. White stains in the carpet. Outlets didn’t work. No hot water. My photos speak for themselves. This place will fight you on any kind of refund. They have rooms like this then they have like one handicapped room with nice flooring that seems a little bit cleaner.

The best part was checking out. There really was nothing positive about our stay at this hotel, other than it was in a decent location with plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. That, and the shower had very hot water. The room was cheap, but it wasn't even worth the cheap price.

The poor experience started before we even got to the front desk. There is limited parking, so we had to park in a cramped space behind the hotel. The front desk was anything but inviting. It was covered by glass and we had to use a phone at the desk to get a hold of someone at check-in. The whole facility smells moldy, with not so subtle hints of smoke and weed. Finding our room was a challenge, not only because of the poor signage that made little sense, but also because the hotel is just set up horribly. Then we actually got clapped at by the man running the place because we headed the wrong way... Once we were in the room, it was made abundantly clear that little to no renovation was done to the place in years, or likely decades. There was artwork missing from the wall, a mirror that was about to fall out of its frame, and a sticky door. Not sticky at the hinges or handle, but on the door itself. So cleanliness is not a priority here. If it wasn't clear enough by that point, finding an odd substance on the toilet seat would definitely do the trick. Oh, and there was a different odd substance on the toilet paper roll too. Then the bathroom door wouldn't close all the way. The bed could not have been any harder, unless it was a rock. My wife woke up with back pain because of how bad it was. She would have slept on the floor if we weren't concerned about how dirty it was. In the morning, a man came by to ask if we needed anything. We said just fresh towels would be nice, and he said he would come back with them later. Well when we got back, sure enough, we got just bath towels. The bed was not made. Now this wasn't a huge deal, but one would think it would be a common courtesy for housekeeping to make the bed if they are going to be in your room. Oh well... The real issue is that the "new" towels did not seem very clean. Mine had spots on it, and a hair that belonged to neither me nor my wife. So basically, you could not pay us to go back. Ever.

Trust the poor reviews, and pay a bit extra for a better stay elsewhere.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The pictures aren't very accurate. The place needs to be fixed up desperately... sink literally falling away from the wall, very damp in the room, shower floor needs a good scrubbing but bathroom looked clean overall with wonderful shower pressure, towels/ sheets stained although they smelled clean. There was a nice flat screen tv and firm bed which I found comfortable. I feel bad writing this bc the people running the hotel were extremely nice and accommodating, even allowing me an early check in/out due to my flights. I loved the convenience of being able to walk to stores and restaurants. This could be a really nice place to stay with a little help.
