Very nice experience! Decent kayaking length and multiple options for both beginners as well as experts. There is plenty of things to do for nature lovers and if you are lucky you can catch a glimpse of the blue herons as well! The service is owned by a small family who are all fantastic fun people to work with. Starting from booking the reservations to giving us directions to arranging everything, all went smooth. Travis is a pretty chill guy who is passionate about his job and very helpful and responsible. Just a couple of things to keep in mind- the place has a restroom which closes pretty soon and there are no changing rooms so it’s better to come prepared.

Jack/Metacomet Tours hosted our group outing (14+ people) and we had a fantastic time. He was so flexible with us and gave excellent instruction. The equipment was well cared for and the segments of the Farmington and Connecticut rivers we toured were so easy going and enjoyable. I highly recommend renting with this company - we'll certainly be back again!

If u like the river then u like it here the ppl owns the kayaks r friendly n they will help u w ur questions n its a beginner level 4 sure u can swim there n u can take ur time on the river there's no rush

Absolutely simple but great. Easy access to kayaks and canoes. Farmington river and Connecticut river. Small humble family buisness with a wonderful attitude and vibe. Their little boy is adorable. Can find them down by the boat ramp and parking. Shuttled up river and you cruise down a few hours depending which route you take. So easy and fun. You definitely cant beat the price. I highly recommend you come check them out on any nice day to get on the water with no hassle.

Had an amazing day on Farmington River yesterday with my friend. We had the perfect weather. We saw 4 bald eagles, a blue heron, a turtle, an egret, and a lot of highlighter blue dragonflies.
The person who helped me with my rental was so chill and laid back which is the mentality you should have going onto the river. They don’t have a lot of staff it was actually just him that day and he also does drop offs down the river. So go with a laid back mentality, don’t be upset if you have to chill by the river for a bit while waiting for a kayak, take your time and enjoy the beauty.
They take cash, Venmo, and cash app for payment and it’s only $35 for the whole day. I’ll be going back often and recommending to all my family and friends.

Jack is well experienced with the river, including the CT River, the conditions, and access points. Personable, friendly and professional. I went out with my granddaughter and the winds picked up; he picked us up prior to reaching our destination. Everything went well. Rates are reasonable considering it's not hourly which allows you to enjoy the purpose you rented to begin with... i.e. to be on the water and enjoy nature.

Great little operation with very friendly owner and decent prices. The easy peddle down the Farmington is really nice. All in all a great time, which I highly recommend.
