Been a member here for a couple of years now and still going to get my target practice etc. in. Generally there is little to no wait time for a range during the week and the facility is well maintained. Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and I love seeing familiar and new faces (members & staff alike).

Great staff, great range, decent prices on ammo.

I strongly recommend becoming a member if you shoot often, over 1 visit a month and you have paid for it. Quick and easy range entry as a member, plenty of rentals if that's your thing. RSOs are friendly and not too restrictive. Keep it on the paper and you can shoot as fast as you'd like. BYOTargets are allowed, as is ammo, as long as it isn't steel core.

Great service and a great range. Only complaint i have is the lack of a good area to set extra fire arms on. But if you come with only a few fire arms you'll have a wonderful time. It's also a fairly priced range. Best one in Fort Wayne.

I have been a member of Midwest Shooting Center for a year. I have been in training classes for a year. I have purchased a new firearm in that year from Midwest. There are many more negatives than positives.

The purchase of the firearm was a great experience. It is the right gun for me and the process was smooth and timely. The price was average for the gun I bought after my discount. I have no complaints.

Membership is a nightmare. You are locked into a contract that there is seemingly no way out of. The "benefits" are difficult to use as the times they are available aren't consistent or communicated well.

The instructors are nice and seem to genuinely want to teach you what they have decided to teach that day. They are truly nice guys. However, they seem to have no idea what your individual skill level is or what you are supposed to be learning. They never discuss with you individually what your training is supposed to be. I have no idea what my skill level is or what I am supposed to be learning. Despite repeated requests for an outline of the training classes/levels and what is supposed to be taught, no one has responded. I have taken the same 3 classes on repeat for a year: trigger pulls, accuracy, and reactionary shooting. Again, I have no idea what class progression is supposed to look like, where I am at in the progression, or what I will be learning when I go in for training on any given day. When I call, they ask if I have been given a pressure test yet to determine if I am ready for the skill builders class. I don't even know what a pressure test is and I was told 6 weeks into classes I was being moved to the skills builder classes, whatever those are. I don't know if the skills builder classes exist given my classes haven't changed despite being told months ago I was being moved into a new level of classes. They promised to have Logan, the training manager, call me back that day. I haven't heard from him since.

I have asked for individual lessons to learn more about my specific skills and needs. I was told they don't do them.

Another issue is that they put brand new students in the classes frequently, which means we are repeating the first day of shooting class over and over again.

In addition to all of that, they charge you for class whether or not you cancel or reschedule. I have paid for a years' worth of classes and have no idea how many of those classes I have actually received. I had some cancellations I had to make due to my chronic autoimmune disorder and weather conditions over the winter. They changed their policy so that if you cancel in less than 24 hours, you are charged anyway regardless of the reason. Well, good luck if your classes are less than 24 hours after an ice storm or a psoriatic arthritis flare up. But even if you do cancel with more than 24 hours, you are charged.

I have called this location and the corporate office. No one ever calls you back. They will inevitably reply to this with an "I am so sorry. We want to make it right. Call us at ___-____." It does no good. They never call back and they never answer your questions.

I top of all of that. Any time you raise concerns about membership or training in person, they treat you like an annoyance and a burden while not answering your questions. I am paying thousands of dollars to be treated like garbage and learn nothing.

Midwest Shooting Center delivers an exceptional experience for both novice and experienced shooters. The facility is impeccably clean and modern, with well-maintained ranges and a wide selection of rental firearms. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and safety-conscious, providing expert guidance and instruction. Their commitment to safety is evident in their strict protocols and attentive range officers. Beyond the ranges, the pro shop offers a great selection of firearms, accessories, and ammunition, and the training classes are top-notch. Whether you're looking to practice your marksmanship, take a class, or simply enjoy a safe and welcoming shooting environment, Midwest Shooting Center is a premier destination.

Their customer service is horrible!!!! I just waited on the phone for 30 minutes before they helped me. Their is only ONE person that can help with the membership matters and that person is too busy to take your call. The membership department which is not in house has no idea how to find your account and help you with the membership issues. All I can say is if you need to talk to someone over the phone GOOD LUCK!!!

Really appreciate the training I have been receiving. My instructors have been great and my shooting is already much better after 2 months of classes.

The only reason I am marking 4 stars is because I pay for a monthly range membership and it seems like I can never book a range spot when I am available to shoot.

This used to be a good place to come and use the range, but after today’s experience, I will not be back. You are almost forced to buy a membership if you want to use the range, and you treat nonmembers like their money is not any good, and there time is nothing. We were told it would be an hour wait to use the range, no problem. Then after an hour passed, we were told that it would be another hour and possibly even longer because they prioritize members over nonmembers, and members essentially get to cut in line for range time putting us nonmembers in and infinite wait time. I understand that members get priority since they are members, but you treat nonmembers like we are dirt. There should be some give for nonmembers because not everyone wants a membership, and we are still willing to pay to use the range.
