ABSOLUTELY DO NOT SIGN UP WITH MONKEY ISLAND TOURS. Very deceitful operation.
My husband and I signed up for the manatee sighting boat tour. They have a 3-person minimum. If there isn’t a third person, the other people on the tour will have to pay for the third person. We did know about the policy. But they DID NOT disclose we were the only 2 on the tour at time of sign up. How could we know at booking time, we were the only ones scheduled for the trip? How are we responsible for their lack of signing up additional tourist?
If we knew we were the only ones scheduled, we would not have booked.
Three days after the tour they charged our credit card for the phantom third person. If we cancelled at the dock because they didn’t have a third person we would have been charged anyway. Plenty of honest tour operators in the area. Book elsewhere.

On Friday May 12, 2023, we took a boat cruise with Captain Jesse, this was a Wonderful, and Relaxing trip. The boat was clean, the company was great. Captain Jesse and a friend of his, Janice (who is working on getting her Captain License) were such excellent hostess. We are 3 ladies (in our 60's), so we called ourselves "Jesse Girl's" during our trip. It was my sisters birthday and this was the best part of our weekend at Florida Cracker Resort, not that the rest of weekend was great, but my best part was this boat trip. I highly recommend this trip, especially with Captain Jesse. After our trip we wanted Captain Jesse and Janice to join us for a thank you drink. Thank You Again.

Swimming with the manatees was the best experience ever. We saw so many and we were up close!

Captain Jesse was amazing. The pontoon was super clean, and the boat had a nice canopy for shade. We got to see a few manatees and Captain Jesse even anchored the boat so we could swim. He even provided the mask and snorkel! Very professional and gave us a good tour and commentary. I highly recommend, and I will definitely be back!
