This is such a beautiful place to visit! We like to bring our kayaks, but there are lots of activities for the family too; swings, sand boxes with diggers, other playground equipment, horse shoe pits, with horse shoes, kayak rentals, bathrooms, picnic tables, etc. Really nice place, especially in the fall!!

We went on a trip to the fossil pit recently and came to the visitor center to use the bathroom. We didn't realize they had educational displays and information here so we took a tour while we were there. It was interesting and the kids enjoyed looking at the animals and artifacts.

I love going to the visitors center to watch for birds! I've had some decent luck with getting some decent photos here as well of the different species of birds. There's a red squirrel that loves the one feeder and loves to climb up and steal the seeds. The last time I was there I started walking on the trails a little bit and I took the Wildlife management area trail and the other trail I used was the Goose Woods trail. Both were very easy and easy to follow even with leaves covering the trail for the most part. My only thing I could say is the wildlife management area trail could use some TLC as its very muddy in some spots and has some flowing water on them if it rains the day before. It's still an easy and beautiful trail and I'm looking forward to walking all of the trails eventually. The Fossil pit is fun even if you're an adult and like things like that. I went once and found around 60 fossils.

A nice place to take the family on a hike and get some fresh air! There are many easy hiking trails that are good for all ages. Even the longer loop trail around the lake is easy and the trails are well maintained. There are nice picnicking spots with swings and various playground equipment and nice boat access points around the lake. A good place to spend a nice day out!

Awesome place to come and spend the day. I took my son here to the fossil pit and we spent 6 hours straight finding fossils. Great place to fish or hike. Nature center was great too. Will definitely be back again soon

I love to come here for a picnic, to walk, to fish, and to just chill out. Also, this place is super photogenic! It’s close to home and it’s just perfect to hangout at.

There are lots of beautiful photos you can get at those location. I really like this place. There is a big gravel dike that’s a cool view to walk on. Also there are two entrances, both are cool!

Beautiful scenery , very nice walk trails.walk across the Dam, Also a planet trail to learn about the solar system. A fossil dig. You can BBQ with charcoal , pavilions, swing set. all and all great family outings too be had here.
