Great visitor center. Rangers are always so nice and helpful. Make sure to check out the current moose sitings. Ranger Lakes is a beautiful easy walk around 2 lakes. Lots of moose sitings in this area.

This is a great stop anytime you are on route 14 to or from Steamboat Springs. There’s a lot of really interesting displays that aren’t just for kids! The back patio with it’s great chipmunk and hummingbird watching issue to be a hit with visitors of every age. The staff is super friendly and helpful. There are often programs going on, so watch their events page. They are clean bathrooms and a drinking fountain to fill up your bottles.

Friendly Ranger and they have an easel board to keep track of the moose sightings. We hiked Agnes lake and the Craggs at State Forest State Park before visiting here.

I am currently a park host at State Forest State Park. The Moose Visitor Center is a great addition to this 71,000 acre park. Come for a visit. You will not regret it.

Nice little visitor center along the way to Walden, Colorado.

Two very nice rangers on site at the desk. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained.

They had a nice selection of books to choose from as well. Everything from mountains, hiking, snowshoeing, moose, bears, and outdoor lifestyle.

Definitely worth the stop but nothing else than to get your picture with the moose statue out front!

Great place to start your moose sightseeing. Ranger was very informative. Chipmunks and birds a plenty just behind the center. There is a board with all the latest sightings which helped us find two bulls.

This place is a hidden little gem. Friendly staff, cute visitors center about the area and state park. Unbelievable views. And really awesome merchandise for sale. Everything from shirts to hats to magnets and more. Highly recommend!

The Moose Visitor Center had an amazing, friendly, helpful, accommodating, and informative staff. This visitor center has a lot of taxidermy mounts and fun informative displays for kids and adults. The visitor center also has an impressive array of Colorado souvenirs, shirts, and books. They also carry a beginner’s fishing pole with Spincast reel and attached tackle.
